I didn't do much last night but I felt VERY accomplished as I whooped the old man 3 times and got a SMN burn in.
First off was NIN since I was basically geared and ready to rumble. It was night time so I figured by the time I finished gearing and getting food and getting all the way out to the Chamber of Oracles I'd be ready by the next night, and I was correct. Just as I zoned in it turned night time which worked out perfectly. I started off with the regular buffs and food, and threw in Yonin too. Then I started going at him and once his shadows were down I Retsu'd him to paralyze since I didn't have Jubaku: Ichi. Then I blinded and slow'd him with Hojo: Ichi because again I didn't own Hojo: Ni. From there on out it was pretty easy. Paralyze, slow, and blind were the 2 huge factors because I only got hit once the whole fight for about 85 damage and he never even 2hr'd. In all, fight was a cake walk and even if he did 2hr against me I had over 900 HP still so I would've just kept going and not even bothered healing myself because he was so low on HP already.
Next up was PLD because I didn't have use my 2hr or use an I Wing for NIN so I geared and went for PLD right away. For the most part I was geared for ACC and DMG and used Carbonara for extra damage. Funny story about all this was that I bought Yag drinks and an HP regen food and didn't use any of them. Basically same story as NIN, just straight tanked and Vorpal Bladed when I could and saved Sentinel for an OMG moment that never came. I did use I Wing towards the end just because I was down to about 80MP and about 600HP so I figured I wouldn't bother taking the chance and just unleashed on him. Cake fight that I suggest going DD style because he honestly wasn't hitting that hard and I was never in any real danger.
When I got back from that fight I decided to gear up for SMN since I still had my 2hr as a fall back. By the time I geared up SMN I got asked to quickly come do a SMN burn so I flew out there and got about 4 merits right quick which helped me drop another merit into Lightning Potency which is now at 4/5 and I already have 2 of the 5 ready to cap it.
Once that was done I decided SMN time to go beat Maat. Again, easy fight that as long as you just pay attention and don't lose your head you'll be fine. I could've beaten the record but I decided to go safe rather than sorry. Started with a Blink Band and Titan for Stoneskin, then whipped out Diabolos and sent him on his way. When he got there I used Netherworld Blast on Maat and then Nightmare to sleep his avatar (Titan). Once my rage timer was back up I ran to the entrance and then unsummoned and resummoned Diabolos. By the time Maat had made it to me I had already told Diabolos to attack him. Maat did 2hr at this point and his avatar was awake and within seeing distance, but was way too far out of range to make a difference. When his avatar got there I used Nightmare again and then let Diabolos do his thing. By the time my rage timer was up again Maat was already at about 40% so I Netherworld Blasted one more time and Maat gave up. Very simple fight that takes very little prep or worrying especially when you are 75. I was planning on using my Yag drinks but again just simply forgot to use them because by the time my MP was dropping below 50%, so was Maat's HP and then Blood of the Vampyre was kicking in and I was getting an extra refresh anyways.
Thus bringing me down to 8 levels on RNG and 3 Maat fights, RNG, THF, and DRK. DRK I was starting to gear up for and then saw videos of decently geared 66DRKs 2-shotting him so I think I'm going to try to take that approach. Now I just need to rethink my gear and food a little then go to town tonight. If all goes really well this weekend I'm looking at Maat's Cap Sunday night. :D

4 Jobs Left
PLD is done! I have about a 3k buffer in case I fail once or twice too. Hopefully I won't have to actually go back an exp any of these jobs anymore because it would definitely be a pain in my rump.
Got a pretty good party last night and just burned through some exp. Nothing amazing or fantastic, but just happy another job is done. It was a good party though because we had 2xRNG, SAM, RDM, WHM, and me on PLD. At first I was afraid I would have some issues holding hate but then I found my groove. Once we were going for a while I was getting really tired and started losing concentration and other people were getting hit. For the last 45 minutes or so I didn't even use the High Breathe Mantle because I was holding hate well enough for it to not matter.
Now I will be gearing up my DRG for probably my last job or 2 that I will actually be leveling to 66. There isn't too much I need for DRG that I don't already have. I only need a weapon, body, hands, and head piece. In a few levels I will need to get a grenade thing that gives ATT+4 but that's not too rough. I'm kinda excited to level DRG because now I get to show off what I can do on it. Not to mention I will get to play with Penta Thrust which is always a hoot!
Anyways, I'll post more tomorrow when I'm not so busy at work because I NEED this stuff at least working tonight so I can finish it up tomorrow.

Under 1,000,000 To Go
I have officially crossed the threshold of 1 million exp to go. I have somewhere around 900k exp to truck through before I get to make myself very good friends with the old man and his ugly mug.
Working on PLD has still been my focus because its not quite 66 yet. I need a little under 30k before I'm done with PLD for good. This is a job I really have no intentions of taking to 75 since Screamin is well geared already. Besides, I would have more fun finishing off some other jobs instead I think. PLD has been pretty fun but I've gotten to the point where its starting to get boring. Last night was a good change of pace though because we weren't just doing birds like every other party, we actually were doing Mount Z and crawlers. It was still good exp of over 8k/hr so I couldn't complain. Just after I dinged 65 and threw on the Shield Torque I swiped off of Screamin we ended up disbanding though. One exciting I do have to admit though is I do enjoy seeing all the skill ups I have been getting. Parrying, shield, and divine have all been going up at a good pace for how much I use each of them. Of course parrying is going way slower than shield and divine because we all know how tough it is to skill up parrying, but shield and divine are almost 200 which is pretty good for where I am. Its a pity I only have 1 more level of having a chance for shield and divine skill because I will probably never skill shield again and divine magic I will need for my WHM Maat fight.
Something I am looking forward to is getting back to some Astral Flow parties because that will be some quick exp to be able to finish off at least BST and maybe make some good progress on THF. I have been discovering I have less and less of a desire to level THF at all because there is a lot of gear that just doesn't cross over much and its not really fun until 60 with Assassin. Maybe if I get THF to 60 using burn parties I will dump the rest of my burn party exp into like RNG to save myself some gil, but I think I will have more fun with RNG than I would with THF because RNG gets better invites and can REALLY drop some good damage at those levels. The biggest problem with RNG will be how much gil I'm going to have to sink into it. Arrows and bolts alone are going to be rough, but the fact that E Bow is 55 and pretty much the best bow for RNGs is a back breaking expense. E Bow is sitting at about 3.5M right now which takes out over half of my current gil. Yeah, ouch...
Another topic I wanted to touch on is crafting. I have been trying out fishing for profit using Screamin's fishing and my crafting but it hasn't been working out as well as I hoped because people are stupid and throwing away profit. I sell something for 18k a stack, and people undercut it for less than it was selling for previously... RETARDS. There is one thing about undercutting it for maybe 1k less, but when you undercut by 3k you're just literally throwing away 3k of profit. Then on something like RR hairpins. They were steadily selling for 50k per pin, now all of a sudden they dropped to 45k. Why would you sell them for 5k less per synth. This just boggles my mind because people are trying to turn a quick profit so fast, they are missing out on profit that they should be making! Stupid people always amaze me. So right now all of my gil flow that I was counting on has pretty much come to a crashing halt because of undercutters. I refuse to sell my items for less than they are actually worth. Since I'm not hurting for inventory space right now I don't mind sitting on a lot of gil worth of items just so I can be sure I turn the good profit I should be later on down the road.
Basically, I need to find a consistent gil flow right now because I am going to need it very soon. There are also some gear pieces I wouldn't mind upgrading to because they would be boosts to some of my more fun 75s. As of right now I don't feel I have enough gil to dump into those fluff items because I still want to sit on enough of a nest egg to be able to dump into salvage gear if I ever get going on that.

3 Known Readers!!!
I found out yesterday I have a 3rd reader! Granted he was only interested in my last post because he wants to level his SMN now. lol But its heartwarming to know I have more than just 2 people that occasionally read this.
Anyways, since Sunday I haven't had much time for leveling since I've been pretty sick and my girlfriend has officially moved home. I have managed to get up to level 62 and almost to 63 on PLD though. Last night was kind of rough but for being in Aydeewa Sub. it was actually going pretty well. It would've been much better if our SCH didn't have full MP most of the time and the RDM wasn't refreshing him. I swear all the SCH did was do 2 nukes, rest to full, do 2 nukes, rest to full. People really need to learn their jobs and how to use them because there were many times when we could've used an AoE cure, paralyna or erase, but he was too busy just standing there with full MP. He'd only cure me when I went red and I had no MP too. To be perfectly honest I thought the RDM was dual boxing him because whenever the RDM was doing something, which was most of the time, the SCH wasn't. Then when the RDM was resting for MP the SCH would shoot off his 2 nukes and that's it. Ok, enough complaining about people not knowing how to do their job, let alone do their job well.
There is a bonus of having my girlfriend home now, I don't have to go down to visit her and completely give up FFXI for a weekend. I know overall I will be spending more time with her but I'm just trying to look at the bright side of things. haha
I'm hoping that I will have enough time to finish off my PLD to 66 by Sunday so I can move on to another job. Plus, I'm hoping by then my 3rd reader will be set up and ready to roll with some burn parties. I figure I can finish off THF through those parties because there isn't really anything I need to skill up for THF Maat since I should have Dagger capped, Evasion capped, and then Marksmanship I'm hoping to do through RNG. RNG I may do a little bit of burning with but it would leave me to do a lot of outside skilling up because my Archery and Marksmanship would definitely fall behind like they already kind of have. DRG I could just burn through also but I think I will burn my BST first since that would be the hardest job to get to 66. I'm hoping that once I have the levels for Maat's Cap I can just burn my SMN the rest of the way to 75 and learn to whoop on some mobs. Well, on the other hand I would really like to get my SCH up to at least 37 or actually 75... SO MUCH TO DO!!!
I'm done rambling for now...

Astral Flowing Through Levels
Let me start off this post by replying to Brian and his misinterpretation of what I meant by "SMN burn". I did not mean you get 5 SMNs and a COR and just go fight mobs. I actually meant an Astral Flow party using Level Sync. Without Level Sync this idea would be almost impossible because you would need everyone to be 10-14.
How this works:
Find a level sync target that is between 10 and 14 (or even 15) and get a few SMNs and a leecher or 2 depending on your set up. The usual set up is a level 12 target with 3 SMNs and 2 exp leeches. Then the big part is having 2 or 3 of the people with access to a level 75 RDM or PLD/RDM to pull the entire zone of Korroloka Tunnel. RDM works best because you are less likely to get interupted but I have yet to die from interuption. Usually you have one pull the mobs down the middle while the other pulls the mobs up top. Once you get as many mobs in the zone as you possibly can together you get them in a very close spot. There is a way to transfer mobs from one person to the other by curing and then resting but there have been times where I have gotten stuck resting and ended up dying because I couldn't move from there being so many mobs on me. Getting locked has only happened to me twice so we still transfer mobs to Screamin so the RDM can do an extra pull of mobs.
Anyways, once all the mobs are together one of the pullers picks a big mob, usually a Sea Monk or a Giant and starts spamming spells on it to gain a lot of hate and calls for help. This will be the target of all Astral Flows, or more specifically Diamond Dusts, because there will be very little hate gained by the SMN but the mob will still be targeting the puller. Once the mob is selected you have someone in the party engage the CFH mob so the SMNs can just assist that person for the target. Then there is a 3 or 4 SMN rotation of about 10 seconds apart of Diamond Dusts. Since you are Level Syncing so low, if you don't level between DDs you can pop 1 Hi-Ether and have enough MP to summon Shiva again and DD again, easily allowing you to get off 3 DDs per person and basically killing all 100+ mobs. This normally gets us about 30-35k per pull and takes about an hour total for the pull and killing all the mobs and using the extra 3 people in the party to use their COR 2hr to reset the 2hrs of the SMNs so you can rinse and repeat. On a really good pull you can get up to about 40k with a good COR exp roll and a low enough level sync.
Using this method I have easily gained over 200k worth of exp and finished my SMN off doing so. When I first discovered SMN burns I was a level 44 SMN and am now a 67 SMN. Not to mention I was also able to leech my BST from 55 to 60 last night as well greatly lowering the time I will need to spend getting to 66 on the rest of my jobs.
PLD I was able to just get into a really good party that I had to leave earlier than I would've liked for a SMN burn party. :D But I did get my PLD to 58, giving me another piece of AF to wear and 1 less piece of extra gear I need to have. I am having some fun with PLD because I'm definitely getting a better idea for hate control as a tank just by knowing how much enmity my abilities get me and doing certain things to keep hate on myself.
I know this feels a little like I'm cheating to get my Maat's Cap but I know these parties won't last because we'll run out of sync targets eventually. I also realize that my time with FFXI will be slowing down once my girlfriend moves home this weekend so I won't be able to dedicate the time like I can now, so I want to get in as much as I can before then. After this weekend it will be a real struggle to get the rest of my jobs to 66 because of my time constraints. It will also stink for events since I won't know when I will be able to make them or not because it will all depend on the woman saying she wants to spend time with me that night or not. Stupid RL getting in the way of my goals for Dynamis, Salvage and Maat's Cap.

Productive Weekend (Happy 69)
As this was my last weekend of "freedom", I got a lot done. Now the target number til Maat's Cap is lucky number 69!
Lets just start out by saying, thank you baby jesus for allowing SMN burns. That being said, my SMN is now 65. It is retarded how awesome it is to be able to fly through levels like this. It was about a week ago that my SMN was 44 and now its already 65 and only 2k til 66. This has been going by so fast, and now I know a bunch of people that want to SMN burn with me since I have a 2nd char that can pull. Actually when I get home tonight, I know a guy that wants to make a party because he doesn't have a puller char and needs me. He said he has people to sync with and SMNs that he could invite, but to have an effective SMN burn you need 2 pullers.
I also got around to doing a choco quest which put my WHM over the edge and now is 66. That is 1 more job completed and 6 to go. Well, 5 to go really because SMN is only 2k til being done.
PLD on the other hand I don't mind taking the time to finish it off because I have been getting some good shield skills and a few parrying skills while leveling. Both are a huge pain to skill up so I might as well do it while I'm getting good exp for it from birds.
I got my PLD to 57 in a birds party with a not too smart WHM that was definitely under geared and missing spells. This WHM NEVER Regen II'd me, let alone Regen'd me, nor did he cast Auspice once. One thing I noticed was how much more a bird uses TP moves when we didn't have Auspice active. My face was getting eaten off by TP moves as PLD, but when I was doing WHM and using Auspice I would have to say the bird was using about 3 less TP moves per fight. I would have to admit that Auspice is definitely a worth while spell. Also, after reading a little more about how Auspice works, it reduces TP dealt by 10% which definitely adds up in a TP burn party.
And as a side note, in Dynamis-Beaucedine I got the Argute Gown for SCH which is really nice piece for when I get my SCH to 75 using SMN burns heheheheHAHAHAHAH.... cough cough :D
I think that's about all for today. Hopefully I can get some more levels on my SMN or my PLD this evening. Oh, and about what I said earlier about this being my last week of "freedom", my gf moves home from graduating from college on Sunday. This means that all of this extra time I've been spending playing FFXI will be drastically cut down. That's why I need to get in as much game time this week as I possibly can!

THEY ARE MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!
CRIMSON CUISSES ARE NOW MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I would just like to say I have been in a few different sky shells and been doing sky for 3+ years. In 1 month, less than actually, I got W Legs in this shell .... ITS AMAZING!!! Now its time for me to start picking up the other little unnecessary gear like Heca hands and feet or if no one wants them Dryadic head and legs. Or I could snag some W Hands too which wouldn't hurt. I know it won't take too long to get me to Haidate because I'm still ahead of a bunch of other people so I'm not really worried. Now is when I need to cash in on as much cheap gear as I can while I can in case, heaven forbid, something goes wrong with this LS and it breaks.
As soon as W Legs dropped to me I made sure everyone had a way out of sky and then I ran to Jeuno and then to N. Sandy to get them uncursed so I could run around in them. I have plenty of pictures that I will hopefully remember to put up when I get home from work tonight. While I was running to Sandy Ukatsu asked if anyone wanted to join a group that he was in for a floors 96-100 run in Nyzul Isle and I was all about it especially because I would've been the only one that was going to be lotting on Goliard. Too bad we didn't do so well on floor 99 and wasted like 5 extra minutes that were definitely needed on the 100th floor. Since they had problems with the switches in order I was kiting 3 mobs around with my W Legs until they got it figured out. Finally they did, we got to the 100th floor and they just dove right into it w/o really giving me a chance to heal them to full and get some MP back so I had half MP and was the only healer, needless to say things didn't work out so well. It was actually just fun to kite things using my new W Legs, hehehe.
One thing I did realize though is that I will need a Vermy now ... until I get morrigan's of course. Now I won't have auto refresh while running around on RDM because I would need to be wearing full Yigit which can't happen when I have W Legs on. I am also going to have to rethink my macros because I will need a running or kiting macro because manually going into my inventory every time to put them on isn't going to fly. Time to rethink my RDM macros I guess.
Something else that worked out perfectly last night was that I finished PLD to 50. Now I can dump some of the none useful gear to the AH and the rest to my mule and free up some more space. Its nice only having the 2 jobs below 50 for Maat's Cap now, but sadly Maat's has no long become a priority. If I do get back to leveling a job though it will probably be SAM because I think it will be a lot of fun and its a job I actually would like to take all the way to 75. For now though it'll be meriting to make myself a lot better of a RDM and BRD.
Tonight will be sky and meriting so I can get Troubador for BRD to finish off the Troubador/Nightengale combo for Kirin burns. After that I will be finishing off my RDM merits to make myself a better bind/grav kiter for when I need it. Not to mention I should just finish off Enfeebling magic to 8/8 already too since it'll help all of my enfeebs on all of my jobs. This is getting really exciting again. I am getting really pumped to be switching around my priorities again and doing stuff that I haven't done in a while which is exactly what going for Maat's Cap was originally anyways. More fun shall be had tonight for sure!!!

Uh Ohhhhh...
Guess who's next in line for W Legs in my LS now?!?!?! ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got another MG last night which means we are ready for another Seiryu which is all we need for another Kirin set. As long as we nail MG tonight again we may even have 2 Kirin sets for Tuesday. :D I'm soooooo pumped because I have a feeling I will have my W Legs by the end of this week. If that happens ... I'm just gonna have to rename my blog!
As far as drama in the LS, one of the leaders quit because he was whiney that Aguaa did tons of outside farming and passed him on W Legs twice. Its funny because after 1 month of being in the LS I passed Vibion in points too and he's whining that he isn't the next in line for W Legs? He was complaining that he had put months of work into the LS and how he deserved to get them, when apparently I had done just as much work in 1 month that he had in what, 6 months? People complain way too much and can't just accept that people have more time on their hands and will end up passing you in a points system that rewards outside farming. At the same time you have to thank the guy doing that outside farming because do you think you'd be anywhere close to doing as many gods and Kirins as we do without outside farming? Yeah, 1 guy passed you twice for the same item because he has 2 characters, DEAL WITH IT. If he would've stayed with the LS he still would've been next in line, but since he sold some pop items and some gil items he's not allowed back in to the LS and has no chance of getting W Legs with us. I suppose he just doesn't understand the fact of helping people get items they want too.
Last night Nazareth logged on and he was so excited he was saying that he knows he's going to get his haidate next. What's funny is that I blew passed him in points and I gladly stated that in LS chat. He was awestruck by this, but then I told him that he deserved haidate more and that since he passed d body to my brother I would gladly pass haidate to him. He was elated again and thanked me. Honestly haidate isn't nearly a priority for me as W Legs is because I would actually USE them and haidate would be for my WAR and eventually SAM and MNK which are still only 51/50. Haidate will still be the next big item I get because it is a really good item and I WILL use it, and I don't feel like paying 4M to some LS for me to get it.
Last night I did also get a chance to level PLD a little bit because I got home with plenty of time before sky. Sadly the party I was in was total junk and the only reason we even did decently was because I was PLing us. I got 1 more level on my PLD which was nice but still need 2 more levels before I can shelf it again. That would bring me to only 2 more jobs to get to 50! I just hope that SMN and WHM are very fast to 50 because I want to get back to my DD jobs that I can have fun with.
There may be another priority change this week for me though. If I do get W Legs I may do what Sush is doing and cap RDM merits for farming/soloing purposes. I may also just start meriting again once I finish PLD because I really could use some more merits on my BRD and my BLM outside of wanting to cap merits on my RDM. Funny how priorities can change pretty quickly. Go from all out maat's cap to a month later all out meriting and end game. lol
Tonight I will try to finish my PLD to 50 so I can get back to meriting. That way I can sell off a bunch of gear or just move some to my mule. More space is always welcome on my char because I can always find something to fill it up with. I am also debating going back to fishing on Screamin now that I have just figured out how to get moghancement: fishing again, rusty buckets ftw. That means more shall shells that I can synth and make some gil off of. Ugh, more getting side tracked. It seems no matter how far you are in this game there is still so much to do and so much to keep your busy. I really don't see how people can think they've done everything in this game because I've been playing for 4+ years and I STILL haven't gotten nearly as much done as I hopeed.
Tonight's goal: PLD to 50.

Lol Khrone
Some things you just can't believe when they happen, but I will save that for the end of the post because it will just help build the suspense.
Yesterday after work I started the evening off the right way, with a nap. Then I had volleyball and did pretty well, but after volleyball I knew I had plenty of time to get cracking on PLD. Sadly I only got 1 level off of PLD but I was still happy to take what I could get. It was also good to finally recharge my ring for this week because now I don't have to stress about getting in enough exp to recharge my ring before the week ends. Outside of that one level on PLD there really isn't anything else to update on it because there really aren't any gear upgrades or anything until 50 for it.
Once I was done with PLD I had to run up to sky for some fun fun gods. They went ok, but we wasted a lot of time just standing around because Sush passed out for most of the night so it was kind of a pain to figure out where all of our pop sets were and who had them. It turns out that we could at least do 1 of each god but we could've done more if Sush had been awake because he had a bunch of pop sets. I did get to watch like 2 movies throughout sky though because of how little of effort it takes to do a god and watch TV. lol We did get another Byakko Haidate to drop which is really awesome. Sadly we could've done another Byakko but the one guy was whining how points haven't been updated so he felt that the LS would be stealing from him if he handed in his gem for Byakko and didn't get his points for it ... WHATEVER. We finally just said screw it and went to Kirin.
Oddly enough on our way to Kirin Sush woke up. We definitely had enough DD for Kirin so it wasn't really an issue and we definitely had the seals because we had just done 1 of each god. Now here is where the funniest stuff happens. Kirin goes down with some problem but ... D Body ended up dropping. Everyone starts saying congrats to Naz, but he then states that he never said he wanted it. Sush starts asking if anyone had said they wanted it and Khone had. Well long story short, no one wanted to spend 50 points for it so it went to Khrone. Here is the question I pose to you oh wise readers: how does someone get Shura Togi before they get Destroyers?!?!?! Seriously, that is messed up that he got D Body before he even has Destroyers! None the less, congrats Khrone on your Shura Togi. Oh wait, I guess because he's broke that means I have to foot the bill for the cursed item ... yeaaaaaaaaaah. So I guess that brings his tab up to about 1.35M between what he owes me and what he owes Screamin. Good thing he's getting a payout from this LS or I'd probably never see my gil again.
As for me, I need to start doing some outside farming so I can quickly jump to the top of the list for either W Legs or B Haidate. Last night I should've gotten an extra at least 5 points but a game glitch cost us a Gem of the North from Zip because Zip didn't drop the stupid Gem because I zoned out just as he died which probably caused the glitch since Aguaa and Jaugax had those gems already. Hopefully a GM will be able to give it to us since it should've gone into the treasure pool for when I zoned back in to lot. But all I need to do is stick with Aguaa and have him help me get all these extra points and I should be golden with items I want.
Tonight is a farming night that I again do not want to miss because I could use all the points I can get, but I REALLY need some sleep. I think I will have to cut myself off at about 1 tonight because I just can't keep going on like this.

I Do It For The Lols
Oh these crazy kids that are in our LS. There used to be no drama and then 1 person appears out of nowhere and all of a sudden DRAMA. Supposedly this one person, Valkyria, believes they are the best PLD on the server and would be able to solo tank all of the lesser gods in sky. What was funny is that (s)he got owned by Byakko. Oh how they talk how great they are then fail, it puts a smile on my face. We never had any problems with lesser gods today at all, and even Kirin ran smoothly. I must admit, last night was AMAZINGLY productive because we killed a bunch of gods, got 3x Byakko Haidate, AND got a W. Legs!!! I'm thrilled to see people getting what they actually want and getting out of my way to get the gear I want. :P And on a quick side not, I guess Valkyria is a leacher and this was the first time I saw him/her in the LS and they got M. Head which is pretty funny because I doubt we'll probably ever see them again .... darn.
In other news, I got myself a pretty good party last night on PLD and got 3 levels. I'm now a 46PLD! 4 more levels and I get to mark off another job and then it will be on to SMN and WHM. It is kind of exciting to know I am creaping on the goal of all Maat's Cap jobs to 50. Once I get all of those jobs to 50 I will be able to get back to jobs that I really want to level, like SAM or MNK. I know before I said I was going to take WHM straight from 42 to 66 but that has changed because I am no longer blitzing to Maat's Cap. So I figure if there is no super rush I might as well enjoy the jobs I plan on doing which I would really like to work on SAM.
SAM shouldn't be too hard to get to at least 66 but the thought of taking it straight to 75 has crossed my mind as well. This is one of those jobs that I think would be really good to have because of how powerful SAMs are now. Me being Elvaan really is nice because then I have my base STR to fall back on for my WSs. As far as gear for SAM I don't think I would need too much I don't already have, except for getting some gear back from Disdain that he still has. I think he has my Chiv Chain and my Assault Earring which the earring I'm not as worried about but when I hit 60 the Chiv Chain I will want back. If you're reading Disdain, gimme back mah stuff, and while you're at it just come back to the game. :P
This evening I have to go put up more dry wall in my brother's garage, /hurray! Hopefully we won't be there long though so I can come home, finish my BST AF with Khrone's help, do escort and choco race to finish my DRG to 50, then probably go work on my DRG AF so I can eventually go store that too. After I get some of that done I am hoping to get back to leveling my PLD because I really want to finish it to 50 this weekend or even by tomorrow night. I have a ring charge left on this ring, but then I can still recharge it. So theoretically I could double ring tonight and then get another ring charge in tomorrow to finish my PLD off.
Goals for this weekend: PLD to 50, DRG to 50, finish BST AF, start DRG AF, and get SMN ready to roll which shouldn't take long.

Here Comes the Boom
I finally did it, I used my merits that I had been saving up. I was up to 8 merits that I was sitting on and finally decided to use them on my BLM since I will probably be using it a lot more than I'm doing end game again. Since my Elemental Magic skill is already capped at 8/8 I decided to bring the pain with my BLM and dump the merits into ice and lightning potency. I now have 3 upgrades to ice potency and 2 upgrades to lightning potency. The crappy part about all of this is that I STILL can't break 1k on my tier 4 nukes on a golem. This needs to be fixed either through gear or merits. I mean I could break down and finally spend some gil on a job and upgrade some of my BLM gear, but honestly I'm not really interested in upgrading my BLM at all unless it is an inexpensive upgrade like how my Yigit gear was or the free Jet Seraweels.
As for other things I did last night. I got 2 levels on my PLD which was a definite plus. The first party I was in was pretty good and we cruised pretty well. But the second party was really good and I did a majority of my own curing because Auto Refresh and the spell Refresh are amazing. It is great to be able to sit there and tank and not really worry too much about needing to rely on someone else to be curing you and making sure you stay alive. In the second party I think there were actually 2 sets of couples, 2 of whom I know were married and 2 of which I think just lived together. Israphael was a cool dude and the whole group in general was fun and could take jokes and dish them right back out. I like parties where its not just a grind but you get to actually have fun talking to people too. That party would've left me at 44 but sadly I had to run up to sky to get some more points.
As far as sky, it was just another night of farming. Got a diorite, but not from Ulli room, 2 Despots, a bunch of Gem of the Souths, and an SC. I think that was all we got which is still a good run because that leaves us with a bunch of gods and a Kirin tonight and more gods and possibly 2 Kirins on Thursday. This will be nice to have tons of gear getting distributed and possibly being able to snag some of the lesser gear that I would like to have. I am just excited to be doing lots of gods because it always moves me that much closer to getting what I really want.

Halloween
Happy Halloween! Time to stuff my face with chocolate chocolate chocolate. I have been eating so healthy this week, but then all this damn chocolate around me ... I CAN'T CONTROL MYSELF!!! Last night I broke down and opened my bag of candy for the little kiddies and I ate like 8 pieces, WHOOPS. Tonight I get to relax for a few hours without my gf because she is going to her cousin's house to see her niece and nephew dressed up and going trick or treating. I am not going because I got relegated to handing out the candy to the rug rats. Guess that means I get to play FFXI and RB2 then eh?
Last night was a day I tried to push myself and I actually got a level on my PLD. I was VERY stressed for time because I got into a party with an hour and a half before gods were supposed to start. By the time I got there and we got started another 2 people had to leave so we were down to less than an hour after only a few mobs. Then waiting around for other people and then finally switching camps. I ended up not even being able to finish using my ring off because we barely killed anything. I only got about 4k exp total wasting like 1/3 of my ring. In the end I wasn't really bothered by it because at least I got SOME exp and a level which makes me happy. No matter how small of progress it was it was still progress.
We then went up and got to sky, got TP, got ready to pop Suzaku, and then realized the guy with all the pop sets was still in Limbus. Luckily he was up in sky about 15 min after we realized this so we decided to just wait for him. We whooped on Suzaku with only 1 tank dying from a Chainspell Firaga III on him but other than that it was cake. Then we moved on to Sieryu whom we also whooped on easily and had one of our PLDs actually Invincible on his 2hr so that was cake as well. After that we broke out and everyone had to go gear up for another Kirin TP burn. I have to admit, I'm actually surprised with my overall damage on it because I realized I had forgotten to 2hr at the start AND I didn't put hasso up until about halfway through. I still ended with about 5300 total damage and about 8.4% of the overall damage. Considering how poorly I think my WAR is gear I think that is fantastic. I would say I was on the lower end of the middle crowd, about 4th or 5th lowest DD. Of course the DRK with an HP build and a Mercurial Kris did over 13% but that's like cheating because of Souleater and his 2hr. Good job to Aguaa none the less for working that damamge. I do have to take some credit for it though because I was in one of Aguaa's parties while he was blitzing his DRK at like level 74 while level syncing down to the bird camp in the past.
Still no W Legs dropped but Sush got his D Body (Shura Togi) and someone else got an Osode. The other gods we did really didn't drop anything worth while and basically everything was a total waste that did drop. I thought about just letting Sieryu's Sword free drop to me but I doubt I would ever use that sword so its not like the 5 points would be worth it. It seems that the LS has been having really bad luck with Waters and Diorites so those were the main things we were trying to go for but never seem to get. Two nights ago we spent hours doing dio/water farming and got nothing, which is just terrible luck because we even had TH4 in the dio party. As for farming last night, I decided I was too tired after we beat Kirin so I just went to bed.
This weekend I will have very little time to game, of course, because my gf is going to be in town before I even get out of work. She does have a lot of homework to do so I may get some free time to level my PLD and crank out a level or 2 on it ... hopefully. I am kind of excited to getting back to PLD because I feel that I am doing a pretty good job holding hate on PLD and being a decent DD too. On some of the crawlers last night I was probably averaging about about 25 per swing which isn't too shabby. Although, I am more looking forward to being done with all of these jobs to 50 so I can move back to the things I really want to do. And on a side note, I don't think I will be doing WHM from 42 -> 66 right away because now that I have a sky shell and busy a lot more I won't be hitting my end of year goal. This puts me to doing jobs that I really want to now then, like my MNK and SAM. I think I will be doing SAM first though because I think I will have more fun with that than I will with MNK, even though I know I'm gonna like MNK too.
Quote of the Day:
AnneMarie: Wow, this is really delicious!
(10 minutes later)
AnneMarie: That was terrible, but I didn't want to say that infront of the girl that made the stuff.
Bob: Oh does that mean I can throw away mine too then, because I didn't really like it.
Me: Yeah, I actually only had one bite and then slyly threw mine away.

There is hope for this game
So to finish off THF I logged back in in Gustav Tunnel and there were 2 guys killing everything at my camp. At first I was kinda bummed, but then they realized I was going for the goblin pets and left the goblin BSTs alone. They were 2 JP guys that didn't speak any English but were very nice. I mean, they even cried for me the one time I died.
All in all I did get to level 50 on THF and was very happy. This means I am now done with THF for a very long time, which makes me very happy. It just did not seem like anyone wanted to invite a THF even though I was a good DD simply because I understood HOW to play the job. And knowing is half the battle... GI JOOOOOOOOOOE!!!!!!!! Oh, um... Yeah, but groups just didn't like inviting me so I had to try to make deal and go solo.
I am actually very happy that I am done with THF, not only because I am done with a job I haven't really been having fun with but because I get to open up a bunch of inventory space now. I think starting last night I had about 5 open slots, now after sending a bunch of stuff back to my mule I have about 15 spots and still stuff that needs to be sold. Not to mention the next job on my list will be a very liked job ... PLD! One of the biggest problems with starting a party is finding a tank and since I will be one, and hopefully a well geared one, I shouldn't have any problems at all getting a party.
PLD will be a good change of pace because for one I won't have to carry all that extra gear around and I can start showing how much I'm learning about all of these jobs that I am playing. My goal will be to get all of these jobs at some point to 75 and actually KNOW how to play them and play them all pretty well. PLD is one that kind of worries me because I have to know what I need to do to hold strong hate even over a very good DD. I have been toying around a little on Screamineagle's but it is still hard sometimes because I'm not exactly sure what I should be doing and when and all of that jazz. Learning the ins and outs of the job is what leveling is all about though, so when I hit 50 I believe I will be pretty confident tanking end game since I don't really get anything new besides gear between 50 and 75.
I guess more than anything I am looking forward to having a job that I should be able to get quick parties on and be able to speed through levels again. There is something about the grind of leveling that makes it so rough, but there is something completely different about blitzing through levels. The grind is tough because you really feel like it is a struggle for every party you get and every mob you fight, but when you are blitzing through levels it almost becomes second nature to you and you hardly notice how fast you are going. I dunno, I guess I will just have to wait and see how it goes when I actually gear it up and go.
This weekend is another weekend of visiting my gf because it is a home OSU football game and they are playing Penn State which means a HUGE game. Basically whoever wins this puts themself in contention for the National Championship game. But all that means that I won't be gaming until Sunday and I have a feeling I may be joining Sush's Sky LS on Sunday as well. I could really use the steady flow of gil as an income to help pay my way to some new good gear and help pay for my leveling because when I get to RNG its going to get expensive. Not to mention only looking forward to Maat's Cap doesn't have the incentive that it did before. I'd really like to have some of the Shura gear waiting for me when I get high enough and be able to snag some w legs .... :D and some N gear to be able to make my WAR worth while and DRG when I get it there. Its just there are always spots I could upgrade on all of my jobs. So I guess that's it for now. Have a good weekend.

Enriquez: [pause] How come you're still playing if I have check mate in five moves?
Irwin: 'Cause I have check-mate in three.
