Dancer Day

Yesterday was kind of uneventful in that I didn't really merit or level my Ninja at all, I just solo'd on my Dancer. Got my Dancer from 16 to 19 though which was nice. I am more excited about hitting 20 because I get my first Steps and Flourish. The Quickstep will be nice with the EVA down since one of my biggest problems soloing Ts is accuracy.

Oh and I also cheat when I level my lower level jobs, I use Disdain on 75Bard to PL me. lol I know how to do the job for the most part so its not like I am really missing out learning the job, just trying to speed the task of getting it to 37 up. Another thing I learned last night, for soloing at lower levels, using Beastmaster as your sub job really helps. I had a chain 4 at once point because of my pets doing so much damage. I have kind of hit a slow spot though on Dancer though because lizards in Valkurm Dunes are all D/C or EP now with the occasional EM. So I only really use them as pets now against either sheep or crabs. Sheep are nice but I'm still seeing a lot of VTs so its hard to ever get a chain from them. Crabs on the other hand are still only T but just have suck high defense that it takes forever to kill them anyways. So I guess 19 is just going to be a pain for now until I can hit 20 and start charming the crabs and killing the sheep and goblins.

Besides doing Dancer some more I didn't really do anything in game. Disdain came back into town but he was already busy with RL stuff so he only logged on to straighten his Mog House out and some inventory changes then went to go watch the Penquins hockey game. Tonight he said he's got a 50% chance of going to Dynamis-Jeuno because he wants to watch the Cavs game. He's bein a real pain because he said he was gonna really crack down on CoP missions and ToAU missions so he can reap the benefits of finishing them. Limbus for a Thief is so nice because of Homam, plus you get Rajas Ring with the DEX+5 and STR+5, its just money finishing CoP. ToAU missions aren't as important because the ring is really only uber in assault/salvage, but he needs to at least beat The Black Coffin so he can get into Salvage because I NEEDS HIS CHAR!!!

Thinking of Disdain, I am also in need of brushing up on my true dual boxing skills. I have been seeing that there are other people that have gone in and dual boxed some chars in big fights like Proto-Omega. Granted, its not like they are dual boxing the main tanks, but they are still dual boxing successfully. The biggest fights I do dual boxing is like an AF3 fight or something simple like that. I'd like to be able to take out some NMs easily dual boxing that I wouldn't normally be able to take out just soloing on my RDM. But again ... time constraints don't allow me for time to do this. Maybe when I get my Bone Purification I can go down to SSG and farm coral and maybe pop Novv and get Disdain his Minstrel's Coat. Plus it'll be nice to just have the TH3 while farming coral since the drop rate is supposed to blow :-(

So this post has grown big enough, I doubt I even got a chance to talk about everything I wanted to in this. So on a final ^^ note, Khrone sucks at getting parties and he is still stuck at 60.

Also wanted to mention I bought GTAIV yesterday and played it a little before bed. Graphics look pretty sweet but I always hate the beginning of the game because you are struggling with the new controls and learning the map. I have only done the first couple missions and it seems pretty fun but it hasn't got me hooked yet which is good. Maybe on slow nights of ^^ I will "go to bed early" and play a few missions before passing out. Ok, post is way too long now. I'M DONE!

Tryin this shiznit out

Well, I've decided after reading about all these other people having their own blog about their life in FFXI on Hades, or as my brother and I refer to it as ^^, I decided I would start my own too. I have other goog docs about merits I want, stuff I've done, and goals I have, but I don't have anywhere to put my ideas and maybe hear some feedback from other people. So here I am trying this out.


I've been trying to get as much done in game as I can before the summer and my gf comes back from school. This is all pretty hard because I have had so much RL stuff going on like soccer and volleyball so my time has been really restricted. I have been trying to level my 64NIN, level my 16DNC, merit, and get bonecraft going but I keep getting side tracked by other stuff. Last night I was finally able to do some more meriting which was nice, but of course I had to go on BRD because there are never any looking. Ended up only getting about 1500 exp from it so it was nothing special. Tonight I was thinking about doing either NIN or DNC but my brother's MNK isn't too far behind my NIN so he wants me to wait for him so he doesn't have the problem of finding a tank and can get to 75 faster. Which kinda puts me back to leveling my 16DNC, which is cool because then I could have some fun with NIN/DNC. The only problem is that Disdain is coming back tonight so I may end up meriting with him and Screamineagle. That would be really nice because then we could make Dis go BRD and I could play around on my WAR :D But it'll be one of those things I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out because I also have soccer tonight.


Then to talk about my Bonecrafting which is 68.4 now. I am kinda stuck on that right now because I want to do vivified coral, then coral hairpins, then turn all of those into Reraise hairpins which takes me all the way up to 80. The only problem is I'm stuck because I don't have the guild points to get Bone Purification which I need for vivified coral ... bleh. This at least has gotten me out of camping for my Bonecraft stuff so I'm thankful for that, but I know once I get the ~25k more guild points I'm going to be living in Sea Serpeant Grotto farming coral :-( Hopefully by then farming for that will be a nice change of pace from all the leveling I could be doing until I get those points.


Then to look at my #1 goal of goals... Morrigan's Robe. The whole reason I'm skilling BC is to be able to have a constant flow of gil so I can afford a Morrigan's Robe. This would be AWESOME for my BLM and RDM and when I get to finishing it, my BLU. I was the first in my current LS to have full Yigit and I'd like to be the first to also get a Salvage piece. The biggest problem is I don't have a regular group to go with. I have been looking but the people I went with on occasion have their own LS and they go on the days that I'm free. Then the other guys I wanted to go with were setting it up to go on the weekends which is not good for me because basically every other weekend I'm going to see my gf or she's coming up to see me. Thus another reason that I want my brother to get 75 on his MNK. That would give me Screamineagle (MNK), Khrone (brother, MNK), Disdain (BRD or THF), Hybridkiller/Caldera (RDM), and me (BRD, WAR, RDM, or even BLM if needed). That is very close to an ideal set up right there, just lacking a BRD or THF, and a WHM. I have some THF and WHMs that I know so I may ask them if necessary, but I still don't feel prepared enough to lead a salvage group yet. I need more experience myself on what cells go to whom and being able to tell people what to get FAST. I know the basic pathes now which is a good start and basic strategies, but still not confident enough to lead it.


Well I think that is a good enough rambling for a first day. Guess I will go play around with the other features on here until I fell I should start doing some work again lol.
