I did a grand total of 1 ENM last night... that's it. No merit, no assault, no salvage, and I completely forgot my guild item again which was pretty easy. Well, that puts me just another day off from my goal I guess.
As I did not accomplish ANYTHING last night I need to make up for it tonight. Tonight is sky gods... GO GO HAIDATE!!! Also, a shocking thing that came up, we may attempt a Kirin today if we have enough people! :D We have gotten a bunch of new people lately so there is a high possibility of being able to do it. I know at the very least we will have 1 Byakko and he BETTER DROP MY KITTY PANTS. Hopefully I can get my hands on some other gear as well. There are some nice shura pieces I would like for myself while I have the points. The only drawback is that after I get Haidate I may drop behind Flayer for w legs which stinks but whatever. I've come to the decision of waiting around for gear I highly want as opposed to just getting gear that would be nice is not a good idea. Just get what you can, while you can. You never know what's going to happen to the LS in a week or two so get what you can while you can because there could be disaster looming. I am not going to turn into a complete loot whore, but I do plan on taking what I can. Haidate, w hands, shura legs, and shura head to name a few that I would like to get. Tonight is gonna be a good night, I can feel it ^^
As for this weekend, merit, crafting, and ZMs for Khrone are my top priorities. I have a lot of time to put in this weekend to get all of this accomplished. ZMs will hopefully only take a couple hours if we get a solid party together to run through them. Then outside of that it will be hard core meriting for me and concentrating on gettin some of my merits out of the way because that new update will cause TONS of people to be constantly meriting making it a pain to get exp. I guess I could take a couple people up to sky then and do stats or something for some Ullis. So much to do so little time to do it all in.

That is what everyone was doing at Screamineagle last night when I was showing off his gear after Dynamis-Bastok. I'm pretty sure all the paladins there continually checked him as I was swapping his gear around to show off all the sweet gear he has. It's really nice to have him around when I need him, like for raises or being the mule to hold the glass for dynamis or whatever else. It will also be VERY nice for using him while leveling my other low level jobs because I have a feeling that will be a lot of my free time this summer. The more I think about the less time I realize I will probably have this summer because of my girl friend being home. So what better way to spend all that extra free time than getting all the jobs I need for Maat to at least 40?
I think Maat's cap has turned into a long term goal that I will just keep in the back of my head. That way I can always have SOMETHING to do. When I realized this morning that I have 5 of 15 jobs done as far as Maat's cap is concerned I figured I might as well try to make a break for it. At least getting the last 10 jobs that I need to 40 or higher for now would be really nice and I wouldn't have to worry about sub jobs anymore besides the AU or WotG jobs which I already have 2 of the 5 done with.
As for what I did last night, Dynamis-Bastok. Of course I showed up late because of volleyball but when I got in they were ROLLING through dynamis. Normally we go behind the AH to avoid all the extra mobs that are infront of it, but they went through the stables and through the AH with seemingly no problem. I was shocked and happy that they could finally start going through like that again because they had about 24 people in there I believe. Everything went pretty smoothly and there wasn't a single wipe. Not only can Khrone say that was his first dynamis but it ended up being his first clear also. Honestly I don't think I've ever cleared that much of Bastok before either which shocked me even more. The drops weren't that great but there were a few AFs that dropped, I think 4 total: THF, BLM, BST, and SAM. Overall I was very pleased at how it went. I died more times than I would've liked on BLM but I did only take 1 R1 and that was from my own RR, the rest of the time I took and R2 and I think 2 R3s ^^
Besides dynamis I only did my choco quest to drop another scroll on my PLD who is now halfway through lvl 11. lol I've pretty well decided that is my next job to 40 besides SMN with Disdain. Like I said, I am just trying to plug away at these jobs and slowly knock them out of the way. I highly doubt I would take any of these jobs even all the way to 75 but if I can work for Maat's cap I will do it.
There is also one problem with me getting those jobs to 66, expanding of group 2 merits. With that expansion I definitely need to get crackin back to meriting because now I will be SUPER gimped. It will be nice not having to pick and choose 3 and 3 or 3, 1, 1, 1 for the merits. I can now drop like 5, 3 and 2 or something along those lines, or even 5 and 5. But that will be saved for another post as this one is already expanding rapidly without me rambling on even more.
Tonight I may be pulled into a Promy run, but I am not missing Salvage tonight as I have already told the v-ball team I sub for on Thursdays I can't go (just because I don't want to miss Salvage). Which also brings me to something I REALLY REALLY REALLY need to start doing again, Assault! It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside
It's officially wierd playing on Screamineagle, even if I am just dual boxing. Even though he has not played much in a while I can't help but feel strange knowing that I have officially taken over his account and he has no intensions of coming back :-( I only took him out to do some campaign last night just to get some more experience dual boxing which I am getting a little better at, but still... This is just a sad time for me knowing that he has put so much into this game and now he is finally moving on. Hopefully we can still keep together the group that is left behind now: Disdain, Khrone, Caldera, myself, and when Kaisr comes back. This could've been a sweet group to roll through NMs and such with, but I guess that just puts more pressure on me to become good at dual boxing. I have heard of people that have become really good at dual boxing but I just kinda feel guilty dual boxing him.
Caldera was asking me last night what I was going to do with all of his gear and stuff. I decided I'm going to leave it for the most part alone. I may clean up some crossover gear that his char and my char have just to open some more inventory and such up, but I don't want to gut his char. I am going to leave him with AT LEAST his 70+ jobs gear so I could use his NIN, PLD, BST, or MNK at any time, but as for capped gear I think I may just start selling it off. Cal was also asking what I was going to do with some of his more big ticket items like his Lu Shangs Rod or his P Charm. I will loan them around when people need, but like I said, I don't plan on gutting his char. Something I would like to do is continue his Fishing skill as it would be a great combination with his 100 Cooking and to be a little selfish, another money maker for myself. I am paying for his account so I do feel I could at least use him for my own benefit, but I can't bring myself to sell off his gear in case he needs a break and wants to come back for a little bit.
Fishing is supposedly a good way to make some decent gil and I can hopefully turn it into fishing for coral fragments for myself to help my Bonecraft out because I have FINALLY gotten Bone Purification. If I can just plop him down in like SSG and have him fish up a ton of that for me I would be over joyed. As I was in SSG attempting to farm coral off of the sahagins and didn't get a single one after about 2 solid hours of farming. If its that bad I may as well try to go fish up some angel skins or something. I currently have approximately enough gil to just make a break for 80BC but it would be a big gil sink and the return wouldn't nearly be what I would hope. When I guesstimated what it would be I think I figured I would end with about 800k-1M at about 80. Its not bad, but I would hope to be able to make a good clean run for 80 with being able to make some decent gil in the long run. Looking at the investment that I would be making though, down the road I would definitely benefit from having BC even that high as I could Tier 3 synth more items and even just continue to craft RR hairpins which will ALWAYS be a profit from then on. So I think I will go for 80, but at the same time not try to power level it as fast as I can there. Just take my time and hit 71 and hopefully start working on my guild item for my apron next, which will be another cost I have yet to figure into my equation.
As for last night, it was just spent in Campaign battles mainly, besides getting Disdain his Minstrel's Coat. You're welcome if you are reading this if you read this Dis. He wasn't even on so I was dual boxing him and raping the mobs. I didn't even put all of his evasion gear on but I still didn't need to use shadows. lol In all not much was accomplished last night besides trying to get another rank up in Campaign. PLD got to 11 doing Ops and finished my NIN to 67.

A sorrowful {Goodbye}
This was a long weekend that I couldn't so much enjoy in FFXI. I had a lot of RL stuff going on this weekend like Screamineagle's wedding, girl friend being in town, and taking care of my girl friend who got really sick and I had to take her to Urgent Care on Sunday morning so she didn't even go with me to the wedding.
First off I would like a moment of silence for our departed brother, Screamineagle, who has retired from FFXI. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thank you. He informed me this weekend that he had actually already canceled his account so it would cease to be at the end of this month. I have greatfully taken over payments so I now officially have a permanent PL and doubt I will ever take PLD to 75 on my char because his PLD is already quite decked out. There are some other things I would like to polish off on his character now that he is basically mine. I want to continue with his Fishing so it can kind of be a side project to make myself some extra gil. Also, I would like to finish off his BST to 75 just to have another of his jobs done and out of the way. When he gets back from his honeymoon he is supposed to send me his macro set so I at least have a good start on what he has used all of these years and I won't have to reinvent the wheel to finish off his BST. This is also an excellent time for me to start getting good at dual boxing. At some point I think I will go out and start just killing mobs using both myself and him just to get used to each job and knowing what I need to do to keep both going at a minimum of 80% efficiency.
One thing that I did accomplish this weekend, or will be accomplished today, is getting more guild point items. As of right now I am 700 guild point items away from getting back to my Bonecraft which hasn't been touched in over a month because of the lack of guild points. My next 11.6 levels on my BC will be a huge sink in gil unless I go farm my own coral fragments which will take quite a while. I think I am going to go farm coral while Disdain's computer is down and out with some power supply issues so I can at least cut the costs of my BC slightly. Although, I did estimate that I could make my way to 80 BC with the gil I have on me right now and approximately end with 1M after all of my items sell after hitting 80. The one thing that would be REALLY exciting about that is that I could have a consistent money maker then because of RR hairpins. Having that would help out exponentially in being able to afford Salvage gear.
Outside of guild point items I was not able to accomplish much in game. I did some Salvage but nothing dropped and the group leader got REALLY angry because people were making some dumb decisions and people died a few times for no good reason at all besides lack of concentration.
After Salvage last night I decided I would actually try to go merit for a while. I got a whoping 0 exp and -200 ISP because of using a portal that we never ended up exping at. We get the whole party together, some people go out to a camp and don't say anything so we expect that there is a camp open. Get all the way out there and only 1 person is saying anything. He is only saying that all the camps are taken and that we would have to move somewhere else and if everyone else is ok with that. At this point NO ONE else is saying anything so after sitting in B. Thickets for about 30 min and doing nothing the RNG left and then the party just disbanded. This is what I get for trying a pick up party. Too bad there wasn't anyone on my LS that was up for meriting because it would've been nice to get some extra merits under my belt. Such is life I suppose.
Hopeful things to do tonight
- get Khrone, who is now 70MNK, another MNK Testimony because he lost to Maat
- merit
- farm coral fragments (which I just realized I could do at the same time as getting his his Test because it drops from the mobs that I'd be killing anyways)
- do some assaults for once since I am really starting to hurt for points
That should be plenty of stuff to keep my busy for this evening.

Yawn...
Yesterday was quite a lazy day. Not only was I actually tired I didn't really get much done in game either. Let's see, I finished my latent for Retribution, then went out with a couple people to beat the NM which was pretty easy. Now that I have Retribution I have to go try it out though. After that I geared up for Salvage just in case my group didn't go in before I got home, but volleyball went a little late and they were in by the time I got back. So no Salvage for me. :-(
Then Disdain wanted to go level his SMN because he is going to try out Carmine Dobsonflies again tonight. I guess they did it last night and abused my char but only got 1 Jaeger Ring at all but at least it went to Caldera. Hopefully they take me out there too because I would love to have a Voyager Sallet and sadly I will be at a baseball game when the window opens. Not to mention this weekend my girl friend will be home thereby sapping all of my free time to game this weekend. Also, Sunday I have Screamineagle's wedding to go to so that kinda shoots even more of the weekend.
Guess any time I have in game this weekend will be Campaign and Campaign Ops to get a little exp for myself. I would like to use it on my SMN but Disdain wants to catch up the level that he is behind me. I guess that means I will be using it on my PLD then because I have a feeling that will be my next job to 37/40 because it is a feasable sub job for RDM with auto refresh and some extra defensive bonuses. Not to mention gaining access to some extra sword weapon skills that do more damage than Savage Blade.
I'd like to talk more today about stuff I want to accomplish but nothing seems to be going according to plan, like some how SMN snuck into my plans last night. Last night I was going to try to merit after I got home but then Dis just snuck in and stole me with the lure of SMN which I am kind of partial to as they can be very powerful end game. Bleh, I need more hours in the day to get everything done that I want to. It seems that I never get anything accomplished anymore but yet I still have stuff that I can put in here and say I did. No matter how much I do there is twice as much I still want to do after it. Each time I look at my To Do list that I have at work it just seems to grow even though I think I'm checking things off of it. I NEED MORE TIME!!!!

Icelands...
Just to start off, I would like to say I'm 5k guild points away from getting back to Bonecraft. This makes me excited because hopefully I will be able to speed my way to 80 Bonecraft and start making oodles of gil :D This will be VERY beneficial to me considering I have just joined a Salvage group.
As expected I showed up late to dynamis because I had volleyball. Wellllllll, aparently they went in with only 14 people. Seriously, what happened to this LS? We used to roll into dynamis with about 20-25 people and do pretty well. Now that the leaders are more experienced and the pullers are more experienced we can actually do city runs pretty well now. At least we should be able to do them pretty well as long as people show up! So when I got there Caldera was waiting for me with a glass. We go in at the same time and realize there is only about 15 minutes left. They get a time extension before we even get to the group which was awesome. 30 minutes left and have time to go to the next time extension ... if they knew where to go. All of a sudden they just started pulling random mobs and not going towards any more time extensions like we should have been. I wish I could've been there for the whole run because I could've directed them around some of these pointless pulls that we were doing. In all, I guess a decent number of currency dropped but no AF dropped at all :-(
I remember when Swifman told me he did an 18 man icelands with some of this people from his HNM LS he ended up getting AF for BRD and we roll in and get NOTHING. I swear, its like LSs I am in are cursed or maybe I'm just cursed since I had a great chance at RDM hat in DramatisPersonae but I missed the friggin run where it would've dropped for me. Bah....
After dynamis I got lazy and just decided to run out to Kuftal and break the latent on my Pole of Trials for Retribution. I am kinda excited about Retribution because I will actually have a staff weapon skill that can do some good damage, especially to pots and bones.
As for tonight I will probably finish my latent then head to volleyball again. Then HOPEFULLY the guys I do Salvage with will have waited for me so I can do that tonight too. Once Morrigan stuff starts dropping other people can get out of my way so I can start rolling through the gear I want. Only problem with me actually getting Morrigan drops is that I know I will need to start spending the gil to get the crafting items for it. Such is the way the game works though, spend the gil to get the good items.

As expected I showed up late to dynamis because I had volleyball. Wellllllll, aparently they went in with only 14 people. Seriously, what happened to this LS? We used to roll into dynamis with about 20-25 people and do pretty well. Now that the leaders are more experienced and the pullers are more experienced we can actually do city runs pretty well now. At least we should be able to do them pretty well as long as people show up! So when I got there Caldera was waiting for me with a glass. We go in at the same time and realize there is only about 15 minutes left. They get a time extension before we even get to the group which was awesome. 30 minutes left and have time to go to the next time extension ... if they knew where to go. All of a sudden they just started pulling random mobs and not going towards any more time extensions like we should have been. Nothing according to plan
I guess with the string of good luck I have been having it was only a matter of time before things fell back apart. After work I had to mow 2 lawns so I didn't get online until later than I hoped. When I did get on I did my guild point item while Khrone was doing some other stuff. I was hoping he was going to be searching for a party and try to put one together on his own, but when he first started looking there were only a few people looking and no DD. After about 30 min I was hoping he would check some more but I guess he didn't because he kept saying that no one was looking when I could've EASILY put togeth a SAM, THF, NIN, MNK, RDM, SMN party. Whatev, its his race to 75. On a good note he did get some other stuff accomplished.
Outside of that I was having some RL issues that don't need to really be mentioned in here. But basically I got almost nothing accomplished in game last night.
Tonight is going to be my LS's first run at the icelands and I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited but at the same time kinda scared for my buffer on BLM. We don't have the numbers to clear Beaucedine but we do have the numbers to do a good job of killing some mobs. Hopefully some people will come out of the wood work because we are finally doing an icelands run. I know Disdain said he's DEFINITELY coming because he told me he had never done an icelands run before which kinda shocked me considering he's had access for a long time. Duelist's Tabard will hopefully be mine tonight and I will hopefully pee my pants with excitement. It just better not drop the 1st hour I am not there! I have volleyball at 8:30 tonight which means I will probably be an hour late :-( NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!
So I guess I will do a little more debating on MNK vs SAM as my next job to 75. Disdain did bring up a good point in saying that I would probably have an easier time with MNK. With MNK I already have Brown Belt, already have Destroyers, already have Scorpion Harness, already have O Kote, I mean that's basically all the gear I will need til end game. I could use some new haste boots for my MNK which would be nice to have on my NIN also. The problem is a lot of this gear is interchangable with MNK and SAM.
One of the big factors for either job is going to be the big ticket item for either job, Dryadic body and Soboro. I don't even see Hagun as a huge deal because I could just ask Spruck and Price to spam the ENM that drops it for me. As for Dryadic body I would have to be in an LS that can beat Kirin. Bleh.... I think I will have to just level both jobs to 50 and see which I like more. Alos try to get a Soboro while I'm at it. This is kind of a pain for me because even with all this debating I may not have a chance to even level a new job until the end of the summer when my girl friend goes back to school. I guess the only conclusion I have right now is get both jobs to 50 and move on from there.

Salvage w00t
Not much really was happening last night, just cleaning up some odds and ends and didn't even get a chance to level. Finished my Brown Belt last night, got the Dodo skin on the 1st pop of yesterday and got the Nue fang on the 1st pop too. Thanks to Disdain's TH3 (that he doesn't even know I was using him for lol).
Between getting the skin and the fang I got a /tell from Spruck asking me to go with his group to Salvage. I was like, suuuure. We went in to SSR and right off the bat Price and I realized we screwed up. He was SAM/WAR when he should've been /THF and I was BRD/BLM ... /BLM ... WTF is wrong with me. Turns out it still went alright even with me HUGE screw up. Hammerbow (I think that's its name) dropped Spruck's 35 Usu kabuto which was nice because I think that is the last piece he needs for the head then he would be 4/5 Usu I believe. We moved up and nothing else of real importance dropped. On the last floor we tried to do the Turtle but Spruck screwed up, then Price screwed up, then when I was about to pull the Turtle my mouse decided to click on a rampart and I cast Elegy on that instead of on the Turtle and aggro'd the whole room.
After the run, the one guy just randomly asked me what I was there for and I said for Morrigan's. Then immediately after that Spruck asks me to join them full time! I said sure because when they first started I couldn't make their run, but now they are Sunday, Monday, and Thursday so I should be able to make most of the runs now. There will be some exceptions like some Thursdays I will have volleyball so I may be a little late or like this coming Sunday when I am going to Screamineagle's wedding. But I also found out that Morrigan is a "popular set in [that] group" as Spruck so kindly put it. Oh well, it'll be REALLY good experience for when Khrone hits 75 and I can start doing runs with my RL friends.
I am uber excited about Salvage now because I will actually get some stuff done for once and will have a good chance at getting items! With getting a Salvage group now I suppose I really need to work on making gil again. Salvage gear still costs a bit of gil so I need to get back to my Bonecraft as soon as possible. I NEED ME A REGULAR INCOME!!!
Outside of Salvage I was talking with Disdain. He wants to set up another little trio static with himself, Khrone, and me. Originally he wanted to roll DNC (support), SAM (tank/DD), and SCH or BLU (healer). After a little talking and me explaining I didn't want to take my DNC anywhere, we started on the idea of SAM, SAM, and SCH. I think that set up could be pretty good. Having 2 SAMs with Seigan and Third Eye being able to bounce hate back and forth with a SCH healing it should work pretty decently. I would like to get SAM and MNK up higher now because outside of WAR I would like another useful DD job at 75.
This goes back to my post yesterday now... order of jobs I want to level. Outside of just getting jobs to 37 or 40 for sub jobs, I need to find that next job I want to take for the long haul. I can see MNK being really sweet and SAM being really sweet, but the big problem is gear down the road. I may take both to 50 so I can do AF quests for them and then decide from there. Another HUGE factor will be Soboro. If I get a Soboro for my SAM, I will probably just take SAM all the way because a Soboro could actually last me all the way to a Hagun. I have all the sub jobs I would ever need for either of those jobs so that is a non factor. The big factors are which one will I have more fun with and which one can I gear VERY well end game better.
For MNK, the biggest piece of gear I would need is a Dryadic body because I have most of the other gear I would need ... brown belt, amemet+1, destroyers, rajas ring, ATT+ earrings, and O kote.
For SAM, the biggest pieces I would need are in the weapon slot, Soboro and Hagun. I have a Hauby for body, but then I would also need other AF pieces for Meditate and other gear swap items to really be good.
MNK from what I am thinking right now seems a little easier for me to gear seeing as I would only REALLY need a D. body. Bah, this decision is so hard for me. I need to really look at end game gear for both of those jobs and figure out which I could gear the best easier. But then which I will have more fun with too... ARGH. Ok, I guess I just need to look more into this.

BOOYA
This weekend was AMAZING! I got a lot done and even better yet, we beat Dynamis-Jeuno so we can do Icelands now ^^
To start off, I finished my DNC completely now. I got the last scroll I needed on it and I'm sitting at about 350 inside of 37. DNC officially shelved.
Next Morbolger x2. We had an approximate time that he was going to pop on Saturday and when he did, I was slick like a ninja and won the claim. I lotted against Khrone for it and I won the drop, yay. Its not like it really mattered anyways because we went back and camped it on Sunday too. No one else was around so we easily got the claim and Khrone got his vine and then later on his Nue Fang to finish the quest. Congrats on the Brown Belt! Now its my turn to finish Dodo and Nue to get my Brown Belt ... that I probably won't use for a while. lol
Then onto Ninja. Khrone wanted exp like woah so I agreed to level with him. This wasn't just an exp party because no exp party stays together for ... about the 8 hours that we were together. There were 3 of us that stuck together the whole time and we almost rocked out 2 full levels (thank you anniversary ring). I am now only a couple thousand exp from 67. The faster I get out of the 60s the better because its soooooo boring. At least in the 70s I have things to look forward to, like weapons and gear and such. I don't get any new gear until 70, when I can get new weapons and some new pieces of gear like my O Hat. I think 70 to 75 won't be nearly as bad because I basically have something to look forward to every level. Then I can really start meriting FULL TIME because I won't have any other jobs even in the 60s that are waiting to be finished.
I still have so much that I want to merit its not even funny. I think I calculated it out to be about 1.5M limit points until I cap out RDM and BLM and just get some merits on my WAR and BRD. No, that 1.5M doesn't mean capping merits on WAR and BRD too, that's just a couple merits here and there on them. It is pretty rediculous when you realize how many limit points you need to do all these merits and how much you could actually be finishing off extra jobs to 75. I think my brother calculated to full merit his MNK it would take 170 merits, or 1.7M limit points. But, to get a job to 75 it only takes about 800,000 exp. You can get 2 jobs to 75 with the experience that you use on fully meriting a job... THAT'S CRAZY!!! But such is the life if you want to be uber at 1 job or have a variety of jobs.
Now back to my list of jobs I want to level and where I feel they should be. Right now since I am finishing NIN I think I will be done with higher level jobs for a little while. I am thinking about PLD and DRG to 37 just to finish off some more sub jobs.

I really want to ungimp my BLM and my RDM ... and my WAR... /sigh So much I want to do, so little time to do it all in.

/Choke
To start off the night, Khrone left work early to try to camp his vine in Ordelles cave for Brown Belt. I went out to help and a little over an hour after I got there he popped about 25' from me. When I ran forward to try to Stun I got to 22.9' and hit the macro and realized I was on the wrong macro set, moved into range, switched macro sets and someone else had already claimed :-( Needless to say, I choked. I easily should've had claim if I was on the right macro set because the guy didn't voke until he was almost right next to Morbolger.
So to try to redeem myself I'm going to camp him right after work today in hopes to at least get the ToD again. But, in my amazing train of thought I figured I could do it on NIN. My NIN/DNC is sitting out there ready to try for it ... yes my NIN/DNC ... DUR DUR DUR!!! Retard me didn't think about a way I could actually CLAIM Morbolger so I'm gonna have to run up and actually hit him to get a claim which is like an 80% chance that WON'T happen, unless I'm UBER clutch and the other guys are terrible.
Once we got the ToD I had to run to volleyball. When I got back it was pretty late so I figured I would just do some odds and ends stuff. Got my emblem rank for Campaign by doing Crystal Fists III on my DNC which is now about 1.2k from 37 and being completely done. Then I went out and did some NIN/DNC leveling in Campaign to get 65, which I did. I'm now 1k into 65 and ready to rock and roll leveling with Khrone on his quest to 75.
Besides that nothing else really happened last night. Tonight will be camp Morbolger again, sky and HOPEFULLY get Haidate, then maybe go hang out with some peeps and play Rock Band. In all likelyhood I will end up just doing some more odds and end stuff in game. I may as well list a few things so I can get them in writing in case I forget later tonight:
- guild point item
- actually gear my NIN
- assaults
- finish skilling my staff in Besieged so I could start Retribution whenever
- clean out some inventory (maybe get another Bahut)
But that looks good in terms of possible things to do in game after sky tonight.

D U N
DUN! Yup, I got really lucky last night and found a party for my DNC with out my flag up and we rocked! Had a PL and only had 5 people but we totally owned Garbage Citadel. We had 2x THF/NIN, NIN, BLM, and me on DNC/NIN. It was pretty fun because all we kept doing was going back and forth just SATAing. At first the NIN said "Why SATA, just SA and weapon skill?" To which I replied, "We want to do more damage, so stay lined up." Once he and the PL, who was being dual boxed by the BLM I'm guessing, started lining up the theives started doing an average of 450 SATA Viper Bites. Not to mention after the one THF left I started doing Animated Flourish to get hate and a Gust Slash before the remaining THF's SATA Viper Bite and he started doing about 500 on the bats plus the skill chain damage did upwards of 220 extra damage. Just goes to show, even though I wasn't geared that great, actually kinda poorly, as long as you know how to PLAY your job and understand other people's jobs you can still rock out the damage.
Man was I excited to hit 36 though because I already knew that was going to be my last time playing DNC for a loooooooong time. I am about half way to 37 anyways so its pretty pimp because between this week's escort and doing some Campaign Ops I should be 37 by the end of the week. If that doesn't get me to 37 though I'll just throw another scroll or 2 on it to finish it off. DNC will probably end up like my WHM and be about 3 exp into the level I need it at lol. Its a great feeling to have another job out of the way.
After getting DNC finished I had to go to Volleyball but when I got back I found out some not so great news. I heard the LS barely made it to the AH in Dynamis-Windy and that Hybrid/Caldera and Vaniel basically quit the LS. With them gone I have nothing to really keep me in the LS except all of these points that I'm sitting on that I haven't had a chance to use. So I spent a part of the night getting my guild point done and trying to convince Van and Hybrid to at least hang around for me to get my Haidate which will HOPEFULLY be on Friday ... tomorrow ^^ Once I get Haidate I'll probably burn through my points as fast as possible, then cut my losses and move on. I don't know how much more I can take of the LS, especially after hearing that Aziel joined Dynamis Dominators, the Dynamis shell I was looking at joining after mine. Its coming to the fact that I seriously don't see this LS going anywhere becuase the better players seem to be constantly put off by how the LS is going and now its rubbing off on me. I've never just left an LS before but I am just not having the fun I once did. I'm thinking its time to cut my losses, spend my points, and move on.
On to a brighter note ... Khrone has passed my NIN. He hit 65 last night in his sweet 2xPL party. After finding out he passed me I had no other choice, I had to start getting a little exp on my NIN in Campaign. Now that my DNC is no longer underleveled I was able to go out on NIN/DNC, which is pretty fun, and get a few thousand exp. I am now about 3k behind Khrone because I think he said he's 2 or 3k inside of 65 and now I'm about 1k til 65. Another thing Khrone has to do is go get his own O Kote. Now that we will be leveling together I need my O Kote back for my NIN because I have nothing else for my hands except my RSE to wear, which are WORTHLESS. I wish him the best of luck because I know from experience camping my real O Kote that its not the easiest thing to get and the drop sucks. I may go hang out with him there because I would like to get the fumas that drop there for my NIN. Sounds like a fun fun happy happy joy joy camping experience there that we can have.
Goals for this evening, make sure we have Byakko pop sets for tomorrow and hit 65 on my NIN. I really want to get BOTH of those out of the way because on Friday I want to get my Haidate so I can start playing on WAR more often and sell my Barone legs already.

meh...
So I'm really starting to get bored of soloing DNC. Last night I had my flag up for about 2 or 3 hours while I was soloing but not a single invite. At least I passed my goal and got to 34 last night, hopefully will get 37 by Thursday and be done. The damage is no good at all on my dancer and the only way I can keep up with about a 3.5k/hr role is by being DNC/BST. I wanted to try a new spot so I went to North Gustaberg [S] but it was even slower there and I ended up dying once because those spiders were just too hard and the rock eaters were too few. When I moved myself back out into the Jungles all the spots close to Kazham were taken so I decided to move to the zone near Yhoator Jungle. I got decent exp there along with being able to charm the lizards which do some massive damage. They were doing so much damage that Screamineagle or myself just couldn't keep hate off of them. It was nice to have a pet that could do all that damage but they also were dying twice as fast because of how much hate they were getting.
One complaint I have about DNC... why be able to build up so many finishing moves when you can only use them once ever 30 seconds? 90% of the time I'm sitting at 5 (max) finishing moves and nothing to do with them. You can only use a Flourish every 30 seconds which use 2 finishing moves, but each time to successfully land a step on a mob you get 2 finishing moves and the recast on steps is only 15 seconds. So even if I only landed 50% of my steps I would never run out of finishing moves. This is just strange to me especially since DNC is mainly a support role and do very little damage as it is. All a DNC is really good for is blowing its TP to heal the party and debuf the mob. Unless I am missing something about DNC in later levels that makes more use of finishing moves ... but I haven't seen anything about it yet.
I guess I have gotten to the point where I just want DNC at 37 so its out of my hair and another sub job is done. Once I finish DNC I will have time to get back to meriting and then NIN when Khrone catches it. Really, I just want more hours in the day to move on with other stuff I WANT to do. As much fun as I have had leveling other jobs I want to have time to go merit my RDM more so I can go play around with mobs in sky for some pop items. One day I may just get the pop items for certain gods and go to my friend's LS and have them burn down some gods for me. The longer I am in the LS I am in the more I am upset because I know I could be accomplishing so much more in a different LS. This is kind of how I have been my whole FFXI career though, I've had some fun but not accomplished much. As much as I've had fun and for as long as I've been playing this game I have not accomplished NEARLY as much as I should have simply because of the LSs I have chosen. When I joined NitohRyu (my first sky LS) I was in it for like a year and a half and I only got 2 items I think, but it was cool because I did a lot of other stuff, got a lot of experience, made a bunch of friends, and was just an all around good time. DramatisPersonae I feel that I got the most out of though because I actually got a handful of items and some good ones at that. I got screwed on a few items but it was kind of my own fault ... like missing out on RDM AFv2 hat which COULD'VE been mine a year and a half ago but I missed that damn Xarc run. Oh well... Now the LS I'm in was good, then got bad, then got decent, and now we have trouble pulling enough people together to even get a dynamis run in. Or something stupid happens like wiping to Byakko when for once I decide I want the pants. Ok, I'm done whining now. This post has completely gone away from what I wanted it to be.

IDK my BFF DNC
You guessed it MOAR DNC!!! Broke my goal and hit 32 DNC last night. I was uber excited even after being in an OK party. It seems I have reached a point where I can't do much soloing on DNC because it has severely slowed down. After the party broke I decided to go another few thousand exp out in the jungles and was only doing about 4k/hr when I was doing about 5.5k/hr with my party. Guess that means I have to find an actual party to be a part of, which I don't mind because soloing the rest of the way as a support job would kinda blow.
Last night I also realized how NICE DNC can be. I was DNC/NIN in the party and was basically helping main heal. I had screamineagle out there but I used him as sparingly as possible ... so sparingly I even let a few people die just so people wouldn't get lazy at their jobs. After mobs died or if we were really struggling for HP I would use Divine Waltz for a curaga and gain hate off the tank because I could tank a little with my shadows and my shear evasion. Not to mention I have Animated Flourish which is a mini provoke. All in all I was actually having fun with DNC in the party, definitely more than soloing since the damage blows.
Side note, Khrone had another crackin good party last night so he hit 63 which kind of makes me want to push DNC even more because once I get that out of the way I can go back to NIN with his MNK so he doesn't have to worry about a tank all the way to 75. Man, after he was cruising in his party I started to get chills thinking about him being 75 and actually being able to do events with him and me not having to carry his sorry butt around to do everything he needs to. Then I get to abuse him for my wants and needs instead hehe.
Tonight will end up being Soccer, DNC, and MOAR DNC!!! ... I hope.

D e d namis
Sadly not much in game stuff to report on because the woman was in town again this weekend. Only thing to update is Crapnamis.
Well, the puller was SUPER lazy and got us all killed a bunch of times and at the end I swear started purposefully pulling links because he just wanted to leave. Van wanted to es'plode on the LS about not listening and stuff like that because it was Dynamis-Sandy and we wiped a couple times for no good reason at all except being careless. Only thing that dropped, besides my buffer, was NIN legs which aren't COMPLETELY worthless but are not great.
In other ^^ news. Kaisr (aka SirStalin aka Cody) is hopefully coming back to Hades at the beginning of June!!! He said he asked his friend that still plays over there and he said he is willing to move too which would be cool since that means Cameron's char (Arckanghel) will be back on our server, HURRAY FOR WHM!!! With them back we could TOTALLY work out a Salvage group ^^ ... that is as we still wait for Khrone to get 75.
Khrone is about the only other ^^ news I have too. HE FINALLY MADE LEVELING PROGRESS!!!!!!! He got his WAR to 35 and his MNK to 62. I almost peed my pants when I saw that. He's almost caught up to my NIN now so we could hopefully level together so I can finish off my NIN as well as hurry him along to 75. I swears now that he got those 2 levels this weekend I can taste him at least getting 70 by the end of the month. When he hits 70 I think we will start working on a regular assault group as well to get Screamin, Disdain, and Khrone rank ups and points for Salvage. And me being slightly selfish pick off my extra assaults so I can get my Captain rank hehe. Free runic portals and an extra assault tag {Yes, please.}
As for this evening, I plan on doing MOAR DANCER!!! I slacked off last night and just played GTAIV as to stay away from burning myself out from soroing so much and not getting sick of the game. Once I get DNC out of the way I can get back to meriting like cheap whore. I mean, I could even try to get a merit party on my .... WAR?! But as usual I will end up on my BRD I'm sure, but that's besides the point.

Soro DNC Onry
To start off the night I was a good friend and ran out to help Caldera on his MNK. He originally just needed food but I ended up PLing his group for a while until I got food then he dinged 20 and peaced out. So I peaced out as well. Ended up watching some of the Cavs vs Celtics game (blaaaaah) then decided to return to where I should've been the whole time ... DANCER!
After Caldera logged out I logged onto his other char Hybridkiller and continued on PLing my DNC. It works out nicely that he can go do stuff on Caldera, like level his MNK, and then I can keep Hybrid out were I was PLing myself ^^ While PLing myself a few parties were coming over into my camp so I decided to take out the higher level pugs only because they'd probably be too strong for their parties anyways. Also, at night I was trying to kill the ghosts and skeles that pop around there so they could keep going without any problem. I was being nice because it would take me a while to kill those Banshees ... stupid ice spikes. Saw a person or two that I know, like Elvaanknight, that were leveling around my camp. Honestly I didn't mind because its a good camp for about where they were leveling and I know how dick it is to be soloing/PLing where people are trying to level in an actual party.
Even being nice and burning my final ring for the week I got my DNC up to 29, thus reaching surpassing my goal for the week of 27. YAY, 1 more level until more dances. Hopefully DNC gets even better with the new dances. New dances I will get at 30: Boxstep, Curing Waltz II, and Desperate Flourish. Ok, Desperate Flourish is utterly worthless. Curing Waltz II will be cool I guess if I ever actually join a party haha. Then there is Boxstep, the only dance I am really looking forward to. Box step is a defense down dance and it does stack with Quickstep which is hawt. That means defense down and evasion down ^^ This means I get to just spam Steps on my DNC and never weapon skill again! Its not like my weapon skills really do that much damage anyways. I think the most I did was an 81 Gust Slash with 300% TP.
Now I think I should set a new goal for when my DNC will actually hit 37... Lets see, I got about 10 levels last week, but I know these last 8 are going to take longer than those last 10. Hmmmm, I'm thinking Sunday May 18th sounds good. Not REALLY aggressive but more realistic. Originally I wanted to say Friday, but I know how random things tend to come up during the week so I don't know when I'd actually have time. That weekend I know I don't have anything and the gf won't be around and I'm not going down there so I will be free to game most of the weekend, barring yard or house work.

Dynamis-Jeuno
Another dynamis, another unsurprising attendence. I think we entered dynamis with 15 or 16 people, but all in all we still rocked out. With a few more DD or a few more BLM I think we really could've beaten Dynamis-Jeuno. We were going and going and thought we got all the time extensions so we were just trying to clear as much as we could. Our path was just the usual, up the stairs, then go clockwise around the square, clear the AH, then clear the palace. We were going to just get the time extension infront of the palace then clear the AH and see what time we had left. So we thought we got the time extension and then our THF accidentally pulled the ENTIRE AH at once. More impressively though, he kited most of the stats and a few mobs while the alliance went through the mobs. In all, we did the AH in 1 pull and didn't wipe which is AWESOME. Ironically enough, the last mob we killed from the AH began our run of about 4 AFv2 that dropped in there which was our only AFs. I think we had about 5 AFs total drop.
After that we saw we still had about 30 min so we figured we might as well go roll through the palace. We kill the next stat just infront of the palace and we see a message saying we got another 30 min time extension. lol At that point we realized we actually had a chance of trying the boss. We enter the palace and start clearing EVERYTHING in there including the upper floor. After we cleared the palace we cleared out the 5 stats behind the palace with no real problems. Knowing we needed all the nuking power we could use for the boss I decided we needed to have a RDM nuke the last stat behind the palace to even have a chance at the boss. The RDM converts and chainspell nukes and runs out of MP because he wasn't resting MP THEN nuking ... he converted then rested up and nuked ... ARGH. Because it took him so long the stat actually slept him for about 2 min then he finished it off. Right about when he finished it off we were at about 2.5 min left in dynamis. Obviously I started getting a little anxious thinking that we were going to low man Dynamis-Jeuno for the win... But of course something went wrong. Our THF pulled the boss, used PD, Flee, but when all the mobs popped he got stuck in them and I guess they manaburned him down. At least the PLD got a voke on the boss and was starting to run back but it had already linked EVERYTHING by the boss back to us. I was HOPING the PLD would live long enough for me to pull the boss off the train but he died just as I tried. So they all turned on me and I was dunzo in about a half a second. Luckily after we all got owned there was only 30 seconds left so we all just got booted and everyone got R3s.
Yet again we were thwarted by a bad boss pull again. If we can clean that up we would be MONEY. Not to mention I was BLM main assisting when we only had 2 BLMs and a PUP using his puppet as a BLM too. All in all I think we did REALLY well especially considering our only wipe was when we tried to do the boss. I don't really consider that a wipe though since it was only a wipe out of desperation to kill the boss. It was kinda fun being main BLM assist, let me assert myself in a role of POWA!!! What is also nice, I think people in the LS are kind of looking at me as an unofficial sack holder because I was basically leading that whole dynamis run. Pretty much me telling everyone where to be, where to go, what we were doing next, who should pull this, who should nuke the stat in the back, and everyone was listening to me and not even questioning my authority ... it was great. Also, something that I was SUPER crazy excited about was that the melee weren't running up to the mobs and fighting them on the BLM. They were actually staying back like 90% of the time. Occasionally they'd run up for the ranged mobs like NIN but the BLM would always just move away because we always had space which was also nice. To sum up Dynamis-Jeuno, great run but choked in the clutch situation for the boss.
On to other news. I got my DNC up to 26 and about halfway to 27 last night. Aziel was leveling his SMN to 37 and he was already 26, so I invite him to join me. He declined because he was hoping to get a PL party out in Kazham. His loss because I was rockin about 8k/hr soloing mobs in qufim on DNC/BST with Hybridkiller PLing last night since Disdain left his char in Ifrit's Cauldron to try and get eyes for his O hat and Screamineagle is still out in Mount Z with his exp ring popped on his 73 BST. I called on the 3rd string then, and the it went very smoothly except I forgot to bring Hybrid's Joy toy so it was taking forever for him to kill the links and actually got me killed once because I was actually dual boxing instead of just PLing. It would've been fine if one of his Cure 3s wasn't interupted by a crit hit and I didn't realize it was. So I was spamming Curing Waltz on myself while trying to get a cure from Hybrid but I just wasn't quick enough. No biggy though because the mob before that one I had a chain #3 for 390 exp ^^
As for this evening, probably get another level or 2 in qufim and maybe hit 28 on DNC. I'd like to finish DNC off before I get back to meriting so I can clear up some more inventory. So my semi-aggressive goal will be 37 by next Friday. If I can pick up Khrone's WAR I won't have any problems at all hitting 37 I don't think because when I catch him at about 33 or 34 we will just be sitting out in our little goblin and mandy camp that I know of in Yhoator til 37ish. The reason I say "ish" is because when I hit 35 on DNC that's all I really care about becuase then if I REALLY wanted I could just use exp scrolls the rest of the way as DNC is only really going to be used for my NIN which is only 64. So maybe I'll try to hit at least 36 with DNC so I don't have to use too many scrolls on it and I can get back to using my scrolls on other jobs like my SMN or NIN.
I think I need to make a list of the jobs I want to level and the order I will level them in because there is just so much going on. Although after I finish DNC its going to be meriting meriting meriting because I want to get my RDM and BLM merits out of the way so I can start meriting my WAR ^^ I really would like to deck out my WAR one day, especially since my next sky piece I'm going to get is Haidate.

Of those 7 jobs I will probably only ever get back to BLU and WHM just because I want to eventually have my WHM at 75 and I definitely want to finish my BLU off to 75. When I do finish BLU I'm gonna have to get a Limbus LS again to get some Homam pieces. Well, if anyone has any comments please leave them (or if anyone has even read this blog).

After that we saw we still had about 30 min so we figured we might as well go roll through the palace. We kill the next stat just infront of the palace and we see a message saying we got another 30 min time extension. lol At that point we realized we actually had a chance of trying the boss. We enter the palace and start clearing EVERYTHING in there including the upper floor. After we cleared the palace we cleared out the 5 stats behind the palace with no real problems. Knowing we needed all the nuking power we could use for the boss I decided we needed to have a RDM nuke the last stat behind the palace to even have a chance at the boss. The RDM converts and chainspell nukes and runs out of MP because he wasn't resting MP THEN nuking ... he converted then rested up and nuked ... ARGH. Because it took him so long the stat actually slept him for about 2 min then he finished it off. Right about when he finished it off we were at about 2.5 min left in dynamis. Obviously I started getting a little anxious thinking that we were going to low man Dynamis-Jeuno for the win... But of course something went wrong. Our THF pulled the boss, used PD, Flee, but when all the mobs popped he got stuck in them and I guess they manaburned him down. At least the PLD got a voke on the boss and was starting to run back but it had already linked EVERYTHING by the boss back to us. w00t Salvage
Git 'r dun!!! Last night was my first salvage in a while. We did Bhaflau Rem. and was going to do MB if it was up or go for the boss. No MB so we decided to just go for the Rampart that pops the bees and then go for the boss. Run went really smoothly, only one death because one of the MNKs didn't have shadows up when he got aggro from a Pudding and got AM'd then smacked and died literally a second before we ported up a floor. Got all 10 gears on the 2nd last floor to nerf Homing Missle which was nice. Then we whooped on LBC and got Ryko's 25 piece for his Ares's body, which he only needs about 5 more Khroma Ore and the lvl 15 piece, and I got the other 25 for the morrigan head!! ^^ It was my first piece that wasn't a 15 which I was super pumped about. Makes me really happy because that means I didn't waste my night last night.
Sadly I didn't get any more leveling done on Dancer because Ryko asked me to come just as I was about to head out to Qufim to solo. Doing salvage was well worth giving up soloing DNC for the night. I wish I would've had more time to do stuff but my dang yard work is taking up so much time. I trimmed my back bushes and still didn't finish cleaning all the brush up. Which means I have to clean that up, mow my lawn, and then go to volleyball. THEN, when I get home I have to immediately go to dynamis ... if there are enough people on. But if we don't do any dynamis I'll hopefully get my DNC to about 27 and maybe even join a party. I think I'm going to just go with DNC/BST and go smack stuff around in Qufim though because now that I'm 25 the crabs are finally EM so I can charm them and rock and roll on pugils. Pretty sure I could get about 8k/hr solo there with some good luck and my personal BRD PL hehe. My original goal for DNC for this week was 30 by Friday, but doing salvage instead of leveling last night kind of set back my goal unless we don't do dynamis tonight.
My girlfriend is supposed to be coming home Thursday night now which means she'll want to spend ALL of her time at home with me ... bleh. I'm getting sick of spending 24/7 with her when we are in the same city. I never get to see my brother when I'm down visiting her, then I never get to just relax and do what I want when she is up here. There is a point were there is spending time together and getting smothered, and I'm starting to feel smothered. She tells me I don't have to hang out with her all the time but I know she gets sad/mad when I don't want to so I succumb to her and hang out with her. Meh, /offtopicbanter off.
Hopefully will be getting at least 27 by Friday still even though I still have a lot of yard work to do before garbage day on Friday. Goal set ...

MOAR DANCER
Glad to say I hit my goal of 25 last night on DNC. I almost went higher but the party that I was about to join was taking 30 minutes to get together and the leader kept d/cing so I did something that a good player shouldn't ... I faked a d/c. I just really did not want to explain that I was really tired and apologize, I just wanted to pass out. So I just d/ced and, guess what, went to bed.
Other than that I really didn't do anything. Bought a few new pieces of gear for my DNC so I'm not like super gimp looking if I do get in a party, but I'll be bringing a PL with me so its not like I really care much. As long as I can hit the mob and gain my TP I will be fine in a party setup since DNC are basically just a support role. I am kind of interested in seeing how good a DNC is in a party at this level because Quickstep and extra healing will be nice. Plus I have Divine Waltz now which is Curaga. This whole DNC thing might not be so bad after all.
After getting my DNC to 25 I played GTA IV for about an hour and a half. The missions are getting more fun and I'm starting to learn the city a little better now, but still nothing earth shattering about the story line. Its just the same basic game play as the others with some new added features and different story. Although, something I did last night that was different than in the other ones ... I actually got freaky with my girlfriend. "I think she understands me now." Is what Niko said after boinking Michelle, his current girlfriend.
Guess that's it since I spent a lot of time online but didn't do much besides Dancer. Quote of the day, which my brother actually just said to me:

Too many distractions...
I didn't really have any update for Friday and didn't really have time to write an update either. So I guess I will just do a short summary of everything I've done since my last post ... which isn't much.
While I've been on I've only really leveled DNC, which is now 22. I'm really digging the whole DNC/BST still because I am just wrecking stuff. Yes, I still use Disdain to PL me but I think if I slowed down, took my time, and actually geared myself I could probably do this with out a PL. But seeing as I am just going for speed to get this to 37 I will just PL it all the way. I have been starting to have more problems charming so I may have to break away from DNC/BST soon and go more with DNC/WAR or something to just up my damage. A lot of people say go DNC/NIN for dual wield and such because they think it ups damage when really I doubt it does because I swing just as fast with 1 dagger as I think I would with dual wielding 2 daggers. The only bonus would be the Stat bonus from a 2nd dagger ... like accuracy. But seeing as I don't really need ACC anymore because of Quickstep I think I'm pretty well set with just 1 dagger and DNC/WAR.
Other than that I went out of town this weeekend to visit my girlfriend. When I got back dynamis was canceled... again. So I ended up playing some more of GTA IV. Its fun but not like OMGWTF!!!! The graphics are slick, missions are generally fun, aiming is MUCH easier, strip club was only ok, playing pool and bowling is kinda fun, dating, but all in all its very similar to all the other ones, just better graphics and a different story line. The one thing I do like is the actual story line. At first I thought it was just this guy coming to Liberty City to make money and get away from his old country, but now they actually added more of a story with him actually coming to Liberty City because he tracked down one of two guys that may have betrayed his squad in the army 10 years back. So he's trying to track down this guy to just find out if he was the one that betrayed the squad and got 10 guys killed or if it was the other guy.
Oh, another cool thing, there are options to let people live or die and also assassination style killing in the game. All things you do have consequences too which is cool. Since this is my first time going through the game I have no clue what consequences each one brings, I just know that I should probably be nice to as many people as I can since most missions require me to just off people and make them angry. The more friends, the better off I will probably be later on in the game.
Ok, done with that non-^^ related talk now. Now to what I will be doing tonight ... MOAR DANCER!!! Hopefully hit 25 and maybe even jump in a party or something since soloing up past 25 is going to be a real pain as DNC is not a DD. Once I hit 30 or 31 I'll probably just pick up Khrone and then we can duo to 37 so he can get his WAR outta the way because he has been having terrible luck with parties lately and can't seem to get a level on either WAR or MNK. I s'pose that's it for today.

Dynamis-Jeuno
I don't really have anything to update on since I went to play volleyball last night then watched the Cavs GIVE the game to the Wizards... But I won't start on to that at all.
When I got on AstrumNovae had already entered Dynamis-Jeuno and didn't have a mule outside so Flayer (our only leader in town) warped out to give me a glass and I was kinda enough to bring Disdain to hold a glass outside for the whole 0 more people that came after me. I guess they had just wiped before I got there too (darn). So once I got there things went surprisingly smooth. Not to sound cocky but between Vaniel and I we could probably take on most statues and be smart enough to avoid any deaths. At one point we were going to clear the AH but our puller was just standing there clueless on how to pull so Vaniel (also being our BLM assist) decided to just run up and pull a stat that linked another which was no big surprise, you almost HAVE to link at least 1 stat there. This is where being smart comes in handy. Since Van pulled all of those mobs were on him and none of the RDM even started to cast sleepga so I jumped in and cast sleepga to save him and in turn he thanked me for saving his buffer just a little more. Its simple things like that that make the difference between just a person in dynamis or a good player. Also, at another point they called out that the PLD was tanking a MNK mob so I quickly called out a stun order for the MNK's Hundred Fists. People just need to learn their job and know how to quickly take charge in a time when needed. After all of that we had a few deaths here and there just from a DD taking hate and eating an EES or something, but no major deaths ... until the end that is.
I died once during dynamis which in my book is a win on BLM. So then Vaniel was asking for a BLM or SCH to be able to take down the stat by Maat to pop the boss and since I was the only one besides Van that had the clear already I took the chance to not die anymore lol. So some one wasn't smart enough to follow the group and got lost running around while I started nuking down the stat and he didn't say anything until I was midway through my last nuke, and guess what ... he died to the repops. Then more surprises, on the boss pull it sounded like the THF did a great job pulling but of the 2 vokers, neither voked the boss. Then THF #2 steps up for the pull, and again it sounded like they missed the initial voke so the PLD chased it down I think and voked and ran back to the camp. At this point it was funny because I think the boss got down to 50% then I just saw people's HP dropping to 0. By dropping to 0 I don't mean, took a hit and went down, took another hit and went orange, took another hit and then died ... I mean full HP to none in about 1 second. Again, darn, I missed the exp loss again lol. So I guess there are still a bunch of people that need Jeuno cleared so still no Beaucedine any time soon since I think we are doing Bastok on Sunday for more people to get clears. It just seems like our LS has the worst luck when it comes to bosses. We seem to do really well all the way up to the boss and then just choke. Ah well....
After that I was going to get back to my DNC and try to hit about 21 but I get this /tell from Khrone (brother) complaining about this party that he's in and how they've killed 3 mobs in like 2.5 hours. So I'm just thinkin, "man, sucks for you guys." You can read all him complaining and all that here. After a few more minutes he tells me that his party got aggro from something and completely wiped and a bunch of them just HP'd but to save some exp he asked me to come out to raise him, so no biggie, they were in Bibiki Bay. Well, I was wondering what a level 30 party was doing in Bibiki Bay because I've never heard of a good exp spot out there. I enter into Buburimu and he asks me how long til I get there, I responded with "only a couple min, I'm in Bubu now." This is where I kinda feel like I was abused ... he told me "No, how long until you can get on the ferry out to the island and raise me." At which point I realised this was not going to be the 5 minute raise I was expecting and it turned out to be about a 15-20 min trip just to get there. But after I raised him I luckily remembered that I needed to do part of my Attohwa Chasm map quest that was out there anyways. After killing those 6 mandies I ended up just calling it a night. Now I just need to finish the quest and get the map already.
Tonight I am hoping to get my DNC to about 23 or 24, do my choco quest, and do my escort quest. This is only assuming either Screamin or Dis aren't on so I can use them to PL myself. Otherwise I'll probably just merit so I don't waste my exp ring that I popped last night. I s'pose that's it for today. Hopefully I will have something worth while to update for tomorrow.
When I got on AstrumNovae had already entered Dynamis-Jeuno and didn't have a mule outside so Flayer (our only leader in town) warped out to give me a glass and I was kinda enough to bring Disdain to hold a glass outside for the whole 0 more people that came after me. I guess they had just wiped before I got there too (darn). So once I got there things went surprisingly smooth. Not to sound cocky but between Vaniel and I we could probably take on most statues and be smart enough to avoid any deaths. At one point we were going to clear the AH but our puller was just standing there clueless on how to pull so Vaniel (also being our BLM assist) decided to just run up and pull a stat that linked another which was no big surprise, you almost HAVE to link at least 1 stat there. This is where being smart comes in handy. Since Van pulled all of those mobs were on him and none of the RDM even started to cast sleepga so I jumped in and cast sleepga to save him and in turn he thanked me for saving his buffer just a little more. Its simple things like that that make the difference between just a person in dynamis or a good player. Also, at another point they called out that the PLD was tanking a MNK mob so I quickly called out a stun order for the MNK's Hundred Fists. People just need to learn their job and know how to quickly take charge in a time when needed. After all of that we had a few deaths here and there just from a DD taking hate and eating an EES or something, but no major deaths ... until the end that is.
I died once during dynamis which in my book is a win on BLM. So then Vaniel was asking for a BLM or SCH to be able to take down the stat by Maat to pop the boss and since I was the only one besides Van that had the clear already I took the chance to not die anymore lol. So some one wasn't smart enough to follow the group and got lost running around while I started nuking down the stat and he didn't say anything until I was midway through my last nuke, and guess what ... he died to the repops. Then more surprises, on the boss pull it sounded like the THF did a great job pulling but of the 2 vokers, neither voked the boss. Then THF #2 steps up for the pull, and again it sounded like they missed the initial voke so the PLD chased it down I think and voked and ran back to the camp. At this point it was funny because I think the boss got down to 50% then I just saw people's HP dropping to 0. By dropping to 0 I don't mean, took a hit and went down, took another hit and went orange, took another hit and then died ... I mean full HP to none in about 1 second. Again, darn, I missed the exp loss again lol. So I guess there are still a bunch of people that need Jeuno cleared so still no Beaucedine any time soon since I think we are doing Bastok on Sunday for more people to get clears. It just seems like our LS has the worst luck when it comes to bosses. We seem to do really well all the way up to the boss and then just choke. Ah well....
After that I was going to get back to my DNC and try to hit about 21 but I get this /tell from Khrone (brother) complaining about this party that he's in and how they've killed 3 mobs in like 2.5 hours. So I'm just thinkin, "man, sucks for you guys." You can read all him complaining and all that here. After a few more minutes he tells me that his party got aggro from something and completely wiped and a bunch of them just HP'd but to save some exp he asked me to come out to raise him, so no biggie, they were in Bibiki Bay. Well, I was wondering what a level 30 party was doing in Bibiki Bay because I've never heard of a good exp spot out there. I enter into Buburimu and he asks me how long til I get there, I responded with "only a couple min, I'm in Bubu now." This is where I kinda feel like I was abused ... he told me "No, how long until you can get on the ferry out to the island and raise me." At which point I realised this was not going to be the 5 minute raise I was expecting and it turned out to be about a 15-20 min trip just to get there.
