I FINALLY had a great night again. My internet stayed on, my power stayed on, my cable stayed on, and I even got a great party! I got 6 total levels last night, 5 on my SAM and 1 on my DRK. There is the most amazing leveling place at lower levels that I have ever been around. At one point I was doing 22k/hr with my ring on, but when my ring wore off I was doing a steady 17k+/hr, not to mention we had a chain 18 at one point. I have decided that I need to stay there as much as possible until I can hit the mid 50s and do the puks or colibri in AU to avoid the exp cap and get some more ISP to go after Khroma Ore, but it would be easier to stick with PLing in that spot because of the lower level mobs to make it easier on the PL.
But I mean I probably got about 40k exp last night in that 1 party because I am about 1k from 52 on SAM now also. Then after me using my exp scrolls on MNK to finish that to 50 I can use them to get my SAM quickly to 52 and then I'd probably just keep using them on BST. Oh this is going gloriously again ... THANKFULLY!
Right now I need to be averaging about 3.5 levels per day which is definitely doable if I can stick with doing that exp in my new camp. :D I mean if I can be doing even just 50k/day there I will be FLYING through levels like its nothing. I also just calculated that if I can average 50k/day I can have Maat's Cap done in 60 days... 2 MONTHS!!! This is not including AF gathering and skilling up from lack of higher level exping, but this would be a HUGE jump in the right direction. I would actually put me about a month ahead of schedule which I should be able to easily catch up in that month with gear and skilling up no problem even with my gf being home for most of December. WOO HOO!!!
Man, this is so exciting I just got completely pumped about leveling again which is great because I was starting to get a little disinterested in it lately from just overall being in a bad mood and not having any luck. Now that I know about this spot I can easily get parties there for that or if I really wanted I could go solo/duo my way even further than that just by level syncing with someone at 41 or 42 and turning it into a great exp spot again! My only reservation about ALWAYS level syncing down there is that there is still an experience cap below 51 so I still have a higher potential exp gain 51+ but I think as long as I could consistently hit good parties there I will stick with it as much as I can. This should also convince Khrone to level more jobs to 37 so he can blitz through that area with me and possibly even get it them to 45 or so by duoing.
Ok, enough excitement for now and I need to get some more work done anyways. Goal for today: I think I will make my goal for today 45 on DRK. Its a lofty goal of 7 levels, but with my DRK being good at this camp from 37 to 41 and then being able to grab Khrone's NIN after that from 37 to 41 I should easily be able to hit 45 just tonight. Here is to hoping!

Baby Steps
Back to the basics, DON'T WATCH TV WHILE GAMING!!! I died like 3 times last night because I kept getting side tracked by watching TV. DAMN YOU CABLE!!! But I did get to see USC lose to Oregon State which definitely made my night even if I didn't make the level that I really hoped for. It was a grand adventure none the less.
I was out there soloing for a looooong time and there were these 2 guys running around by me so they knew I was there. Then about 30 min before I was gonna leave they started a little party and were trying to take my pets. Boy did I get made, so I kept taking the pets and killing them faster than them ... serves them right. Granted I had already gotten 3 levels out there on my SAM which ended about halfway to 47 which I can live with. Leveling out there was cake because I was just owning those pets which was amazing. Whoever says SAM can't tank is full of it because when I can counter, parry, have multiple third eyes activate, and cut the recast of third eye to 30 seconds I think I tank pretty gosh darn well. Granted the counter from seigan doesn't give me TP, but when I hit for 60-70 per hit (sometimes up to 110) it is still a huge boost to my damage output. Plus I get more TP from when I do get hit and if I actually put on some tanking type gear I would be doin pretty darn well I think. Maybe even create an AGI build so I parry more often. But this is just a tangent, back to the matter at hand. Now I NEED to get SAM to 50 on Sunday or I'm gonna have a big hole to dig myself out of all of next week to hit my goal.
I am also hoping that next weekend I will be able to get a big boost from having all of saturday and all of sunday free. By the end of next weekend I NEED to have SAM, DRK, and DRG done and be at least started on THF. Its no small task but if I buckle down and not get distracted like I was this past week I should be able to do it. SAM done by end of the day on Sunday (depending on when I get home), DRK done by Thursday, DRG done by Saturday or Sunday, and then have THF started on Sunday. That sounds like a good 1 week goal.

Lacking progress
First off, Brian made me 2 pretty slick loooking sigs. I dunno how I feel about wearing the AFv2 Hat and Dalmatica in them because it kinda just makes me think about end game which I don't do at all right now. Knowing that, it doesn't take away at all from how cool they look.

I did get some things done in game last night, but again not nearly what I hoped. I started and finished my AF weapon quest for SAM which is good because then I could sell my other GKT and just use my AF weapon until 50. After that I went for a choco ride and got my exp scroll to push my MNK closer to 50 which it is now just a little over 3k to 50. The choco race actually ended in Bastok so I figured I should at least go flag my AF weapon quest for MNK since I was there already. After that I had to run off somewhere.
When I came back there was some drama going on at my house and I was just trying to stay quiet in my room while it all went down. Then while it was going down Swifman asked me if I wanted to go try out some Nyzul Isle with him and some of his LS and I finally broke down and went. We were trying to go from 51-55 and ended up failing because someone read the directions wrong on the second last floor which we could've easily won after then, but oh well. I also ended up getting the BLM staff which is pretty cool. If at all possible I would LOVE to get the mythic weapon for BLM because it is just OMFGWTFBBQ good, but I know I never will. :P I probably should've just passed on it now that I think about it because there's no way in Hades that I will have a chance of completing it and as for the WS ... I'm never gonna use it on BLM ... oh well.
After that I decided to get my butt back to SAM and I ended up only getting 1 level on it which brings me to 43. I decided since I did so well at 44 in Cape Terrigan I was gonna try to go there at 43 on my SAM. So I have myself and Screamin sitting in Bastok ready to tele out to Altepa and then make the walk to Cape Terrigan through Kuftal and then rape some rabbits. And if all goes according to plan I should be able to hit 48 just tonight out there. If I can break out 5 levels tonight it will put me more on track to where I need to be, but still leaves me behind on where I want to be. We can't have everything we hope though right?
Goal for tonight: SAM at 48

Life blows
Seriously, can't things just go well for once. I haven't really had amazing news in over a week. The last like 10 days have been total crap for me. I'm falling behind on my Maat's Cap goals because of people that are incapable of playing their jobs well (like my NIN last night). My internet died on me when I was actually in a good party. My power was out for like 3 days. My power went out again 2 nights ago and I think somehow fried something on my PS3 because it has decided to stop outputting sound ... AT ALL. Crap upon crap keeps building up and its just really starting to get to me.
When I was on MNK I felt like I was moving so fast in CN just soloing but now when I was there on SAM I felt like I was moving so slowly even though I think I'm doing more DPS. What the deuce is going on?! This crap needs to stop happening to me and let me have something good happen to me for once in a while.
I only got 2 friggin levels on my SAM which is crap considering I was online for like 5 hours last night. That's me averaging like what, 2k/hr? Then I got into this one party with 2xBST/NIN, NIN, SAM(me), SCH, and BLM and the NIN couldn't hold hate for shit. I mean 2 swings by me and I was tanking, which I got sick of holding back and just kept unleashing on it and then tanking. The NIN didn't have a High Breath Mantle which is what 6k?!?! As a tank, any tank, especially a NIN tank, you need to have this item, its the only way you are going to hold hate off of a good DD. I think last night I also proved that a SAM can tank at about 42 because I was tanking 50% of the time and was holding the links when we got them.
This is all just so infuriating because I feel that I should be doing so much better in game and yet I'm not. Then on top of that the RL crap that keeps building up. Argh, I need a vacation from life for a while just to ease my nerves.
Goal for tonight: AF weapon for SAM and level 44 on SAM (which only puts be about 3 levels behind where I am supposed to be)...

Furious
I haven't even had my cable for a week and it has already died on me once. Not just died on me at a random time, but died on my while I was in a good exp party AND right in the middle of the Heroes season premier! So I had to quickly call Khrone to get a number to actually call and yell at at Time Warner. After about 20 minutes I remembered my TV in my front room was still hooked up to our antenna so I quickly ran in there and watched the rest of the 2nd hour. GOOD SHOW! After that I did some Wii Fit and then some Wii Sports and then sleep by like 12:30. Luckily I woke up to a dead silent room because my POWER WENT OUT! I'm really having a great week...
As far as my progress last night, I only got 1 level. I did alright soloing in Gustav tunnel but its tough because you have to wait for the goblin to come close and turn away before you can pull it. Then I got a party out in Quicksand Caves with Papao and Barathorn. We were doing pretty well then BAM! that's when my cable went out. I was definitely not so happy because I was going to easily finish off my MNK and then I probably could've finished gearing up SAM and then gotten my AF weapon done, but nooooooo. So tonight I have to play catch up because now I've fallen behind. I am still having a goal of end of night Thursday to finish my MNK and SAM to 50. It just seems a better idea to me to just leave MNK there rather than try to work my way through about 5k of exp and then move away from it when I can easily get that 5k in exp scrolls in the next 3 weeks or just leave it there until I get back to it for my tier 3 goal.
Well, I think just convinced myself I'm going to stop MNK now and move on to SAM tonight. Hopefully I can hit about 44 or 45 tonight and then easily finish my SAM to 48 out in Cape Terrigan tomorrow. That would only leave me with needing 2 levels on Thursday which would be CAKE, even for soloing. Which would leave me to gearing up DRK... Wow, DRK by this weekend is scary but exciting. lol I can't wait to just keep swapping jobs because this is just so much fun to do. ^^

That is how Raging Fists is. I took a closer look at it because Khrone and I couldn't remember what the actual animation was like. Now we know again.
This weekend I moved my gf back down to school so now I have oodles of free time on my hands since I can't do any sports now either. That means when I came back from the weekend I watched some TV and gamed the whole night.
I started off at the Cape Terrigan OP by walking all the way out there because I can't warp out there until 50 which makes it a worthless OP for me. But having to walk out there was well worth it because with my ring I was averaging about 10k/hr and then at about level 46 I was averaging about 8k/hr without the ring. I was really cruising out there until the end of the night. I started to get pretty tired and sloppy with pulling and kept having to have Screamin kill the goblins which spawned my pets which kept slowing me down. But I did get all the way up to 48 last night! That is one level further than I needed to go to keep up with my goal.
Tonight I should easily be able to hit 50 on my MNK. And after that I will switch to SAM and try to get as much exp as possible. I need to buy some extra gear to finish off gearing my SAM but it should be pretty easy to pick it up as I think I only need a GKT and the Tilt belt for ACC. Maybe grab a bow from my mule so I can pull with the bow instead of having to pull with provoke like I was for MNK when Chi Blast was down. I am now debating how I should go on SAM too ... /DRG or just /WAR. I am probably leaning towards /WAR still just for Berserk, but Jump and Attack Bonus could be better overall. Its gonna be about how I feel I guess because at this level it seems like there isn't a clear cut better sub job. Although at 50 its definitely going to be /WAR for Double Attack though, because between that and Berserk it is definitely better.
So tonight could be an exciting night of MNK and SAM fun! It all depends on how fast I can make it through the last 2 levels of MNK. Then I need to find a party on SAM otherwise I'll be in possibly CN soloing crawlers like I was on MNK for those 3 levels from 41 to 44 while waiting for a party. I can definitely see getting 2 levels on MNK and 2 levels on SAM tonight though. 4 easy levels is quite easy. I just may have to take the hit of level syncing down to a level I'm not very fond of, but I refuse to go anything under 34/35 just because it makes my uber gear crap (P Charm and O Kote).
So the hopeful goal of tonight will be MNK to 50 and SAM to 42 and finishing my AF quest for the SAM AF weapon. Quite doable and would total me 2 levels ahead of my overall goal for this tier, which is amazing!

Avast ye land lubbers!
Guess since my gf decided to wash everything for school yesterday she decided to stay at my house, and we all know by now what that means ... no FFXI. :-( On the plus side I did get my cable installed with my wireless router and my phone all set up. Its quite nice to always have a clear signal on every station now and not have to worry about if HD is working or not and if I have to move my antenna in my room around. The first thing I turned on was an HD station which was GLORIOUS! Too bad I only had time to watch a little bit of it before having to leave.
After that I finished what I was doing I got home with some food and watched some more HD and then my gf showed up. Then she turned on some political stuff while I was setting up my wireless. After that we went to get a little food and when we came back we watched Friends. My first night with cable was spent watching politics and Friends ... kind of a waste if you ask me. But, I have a DVR which means I get to watch what I want when I want as long as I set it to record it. I can also record up to 2 shows at once but I can only watch 1 of the 2 shows at once as well. I am just so pumped about entering this new day in age when I can watch TV and watch recorded shows and just have a smashing good time with it. Probably my biggest problem now will be figuring out what I actually want to record and remembering to set the time for it. I haven't had a chance to look too in depth at it but I'm hoping there is a way to just set it to record all new episodes of this TV show or something, but I doubt it works like that because that would make my life WAY too easy.
I'm like OMGWTFBBQ my gf will be gone after this weekend. And by now we all know what that means ... FFXI!!! My house work and whatever social life I did have is going to completely disappear because I'm gonna be like a crack baby and just fiending for more more more exp. Last night I already set a new short term goal for next week; MNK at 50 by Wednesday. lol Oh yes, I plan on cruising now that I don't have any distractions. I think I could feasibly do about 15-20 levels per week if I stay in town on the weekend, which I won't be doing next weekend because of football tickets I have. ... And I just did some calculations, I have 25 days until my 2nd tier goal needs to be met. Its only 25 days because 2 weekends during that month I have football tickets which means I'll be down visiting my gf. As of right now I have 79 levels I still have to gain to finish this tier goal too. That means I have to average over 3 levels per day, yeouch. Hopefully my weekend stints and my solo camp will be able to make up for my off nights that I'm sure to have because that is pretty steap, but I know hitting the end of the year for Maat's Cap is going to be even tougher. So on Sunday, let the races begin!!!

After that I finished what I was doing I got home with some food and watched some more HD and then my gf showed up. Then she turned on some political stuff while I was setting up my wireless. After that we went to get a little food and when we came back we watched Friends. My first night with cable was spent watching politics and Friends ... kind of a waste if you ask me. But, I have a DVR which means I get to watch what I want when I want as long as I set it to record it. I can also record up to 2 shows at once but I can only watch 1 of the 2 shows at once as well. I am just so pumped about entering this new day in age when I can watch TV and watch recorded shows and just have a smashing good time with it. Probably my biggest problem now will be figuring out what I actually want to record and remembering to set the time for it. I haven't had a chance to look too in depth at it but I'm hoping there is a way to just set it to record all new episodes of this TV show or something, but I doubt it works like that because that would make my life WAY too easy.
I'm like OMGWTFBBQ my gf will be gone after this weekend. And by now we all know what that means ... FFXI!!! My house work and whatever social life I did have is going to completely disappear because I'm gonna be like a crack baby and just fiending for more more more exp. Last night I already set a new short term goal for next week; MNK at 50 by Wednesday. lol Oh yes, I plan on cruising now that I don't have any distractions. I think I could feasibly do about 15-20 levels per week if I stay in town on the weekend, which I won't be doing next weekend because of football tickets I have. ... And I just did some calculations, I have 25 days until my 2nd tier goal needs to be met. Its only 25 days because 2 weekends during that month I have football tickets which means I'll be down visiting my gf. As of right now I have 79 levels I still have to gain to finish this tier goal too. That means I have to average over 3 levels per day, yeouch. Hopefully my weekend stints and my solo camp will be able to make up for my off nights that I'm sure to have because that is pretty steap, but I know hitting the end of the year for Maat's Cap is going to be even tougher. So on Sunday, let the races begin!!!

By the Power of Grey Skull
I am Heman! Oh wait, wrong fantasy... but on the same basic trend of power. I HAVE POWER!!! This is a REALLY funny story.
My oldest brother, whom I live with, was home at about 4:30 yesterday to check on the power and get some more clothes and such and said there was still no power. He said he would probably be there until about 5:15 or so before he would head out to his gf's house. I guess he ended up leaving at about 5:45 and there was still no power. At that time I had stopped at my parent's house to drop off the shirt I borrowed for work and then proceeded back to my house. I was talking with my gf on the phone and as I was entering my house I told her "You know what would be awesome, is if I walked in my house and the power was on." AND IT WAS!!! I got home at about 6:15 and from checking the time on the clocks the power had come back on at almost exactly 6PM. Needless to say, I'm a magician, I mean I was thrilled because then I wouldn't have to drive about 30 minutes out to my brother's house (nothing against you Khrone, its just about 3x the drive to work as it would be from my house the next day).
Right then I was still talking to my gf and told her I wasn't doing anything so she could just come over because I would probably just be cleaning my room and moving around furniture because I was going to get cable installed on Wednesday. Which, by the way, awesome luck there too because I was going to call and reschedule but I ended up waiting to reschedule in case by sheer luck my power did come back on and it did! So I spent about 20 minutes moving stuff around and cleaning and then my gf came over. We just sat around and really didn't do anything except a little talking. After a while I kept asking her if she wanted to do this or do that, and she responded "No" to EVERYTHING. So jokingly, I told her what is she doing here if she doesn't want to talk to me or even look at me, yes she said no to both of those questions too? Then she kept saying how she wanted a foot massage and I told her no. After a few more "Do you want to do ..." questions I finally jokingly said, "Just go home then if you don't even want to look at me." And so she stood up and left. I figured she would just drive to the end of the street and then come back. Heck, I almost walked up to a car that was parked about 6 houses away because I thought that was her. When I sent her a text she called me back and said she was almost home already because she thought I was dead serious about her going home. Then she proceeded to tell me that she didn't feel like driving back and forth again so she wasn't going to come back over. We all know what that means, she was angry ... and I played FFXI.
Which brings us to the juicy info about yesterday. I got 3 levels on MNK last night. Most of it was soloed because no one was giving me an invite. Then at about 11:30 or 12 Neatboy sent me a tell asking if I would be willing to level sync down to 35 which I broke down and accepted. So I threw on my Purple Belt and was by far the biggest DD. I really think I was doing about 75% of the overall damage in that party. I was actually skill chaining with the THF's Viper Bite and my Backhand Blow. I'd say about 70% of the time it was junk damage, but that 30% of the time it wasn't, oh man would it lock hate on me, lol. I think at one point I did about a 270 Backhand Blow and the SC damage was about 130, needless to say I was tanking the rest of that fight. :D
Another thing I continue to realise, BRD and DNC are such an valuable commodity. I am positive I wouldn't have been doing the damage I was without the BRD and DNC because of the Madrigal and Minuet and then the Steps that the DNC was doing. Not to mention the Neatboy was the DNC and was doing a good job with it too because he was curing and using the Erase dance to help out for slows even though the WHM did have Erase and was using it. It was a fun party though because we were killing so fast and not really ever needing a break between fights so we have 3 or 4 people trying to pull at one time and whoever found a mob first would pull.
This morning when I walked into work I had an epiphany too. I can go solo on pets out in Cape Terrigan now! That definitely added a little bounce in my step because while waiting for parties now I can be gettin great exp. :D Not to mention I can be getting Screamineagle some decent exp on aggro'd Goblins then too because they definitely boosted the exp from DC and EP. I think I killed a DC and got 93 exp from the one which is WAY more than I was expecting.
Tonight will be my last chance to level though because tomorrow my gf is going to be staying at my house so she doesn't have to wash her sheets again after using them. Tomorrow we'll also be packing everything into her dad's truck and my car since she plans on driving down to school at about 8AM on Friday. Yes I said 8AM. I don't even wake up that early for work! Guess that means I'll have to make a stop at Speedway to get some cheap coffee/hot chocolate. But tonight I will be leaving work early since the cable guy is coming and then my gf is going to try and come over as soon as her like 5 loads of laundry is done. Then I have singing to go to at 7 and hopefully she won't come over after that since it'll already be 9. Which means I could hopefully get another couple levels soloing on the pets in Cape Terrigan. :D
Goal for tonight (if I can play): 46MNK, which puts me 6 levels beyond my original long term goal for this week.

Power on Thursday or Friday...

That's about the only news I have for today... yay! I can't believe they are saying Thursday or Friday for my power to come back on. That means I will have gone at least 4 days without power ... WTF!!! This is completely retarded because now I'm probably going to have to reschedule getting my cable tomorrow and it'll get pushed back another week or so ... ARGH!!!! I'm gettin furious because of all of this. The guys across the street from me were playing drinking games in their garage last night WITH THE LIGHTS ON, while I'm walkinag around my house with a flash light trying to get a change of clothes to wear to work today.
Since Saturday nothing has been going right. I won't even start on some of the stuff because it just makes me even more angry thinking about it, but then I had the power go out, then I realized the power went out about 5 minutes after I used my exp ring, then I had a ticket for my license plates being expired, then I'm going to have to reschedule my cable installation BECAUSE my power is out, then when my power comes back on I leave for the weekend to take my gf back to school, I JUST CAN'T WIN!!! I mean, I understand if 1 or 2 things happen at once, but that is like 7 things all that happened within a few days of each other!!! Now I don't have video games, or my tv, or wii, or ps3, or sports, or my computer to have any relaxation! I have no release right now at all. I could lay around all day and do nothing, because that's about all I can really do. Its not like I can really clean my house because its been cloudy and dark early so I can't even use the sun light to light my house while I clean. I've got nothing! Tonight I'm definitely going to my brother's house because then I can at least log on and play some video games to have a release.
Yesterday I stopped at the BMV to get my new tags for my car. So I at least have my car back now. Then I went to my gf's house because I had absolutely nothing else to do. I spent like 6 hours with her ... again. We watched a bunch of TV and she made me some spaghetti for dinner, woo hoo... spaghetti. Then I sat on her bed and watched a lot more TV. After that she offered for me to stay there, which I declined. Then I should've gone to my brother's house because he was still up gaming and I could've gotten some soloing in but I didn't think he would've still been up when I got there, but nooooooo, he actually ended up being online until 1:45. Instead I went to my parent's house and logged on to Screamineagle again and just sat in CN and ended up kinda PLing the party that was right where I was logged on because I had absolutely nothing else to do. This really blows and is REALLY annoying because I'm online but I'm unable to actually DO anything in game.
Tonight I'm definitely going to my brother's house because I'm not just gonna sit around and do absolutely nothing again today. Its really driving me crazy and I'm actually getting a headache thinking about it now because it is THAT frustrating for me. I'm sure my gf will be mad at me tonight for not going to her house but I need a night away, I need a night to myself, I need some time to just relax and do what I want to do.
I need a vacation...
Guess I should call the cable company now and tell them I have to reschedule because I don't have power...

Karma is a Whore
I knew this time would come when my leveling streek would come to a screeching halt. This weekend my gf was with me like literally 90% of it. So I barely got any chance to even log on. Then yesterday I actually had a few hours between seeing her and me going over to her house to watch some football.
So here I am, online, looking for a party in Crawler's Nest soloing T crawlers. Exp isn't great but I have my exp ring on so I have to try and finish that off before it wears. I kill enough to finish off the ring so I'm happy while still looking for a party in CN. Finally with much luck I get a party just around the corner from where I was soloing, HURRAY! I get there, its a level sync'd party but unlike every other party I've been in, these people were only holding the level 42s down to 40 which was simply fantastic. Now I didn't have to worry about leveling too soon so I popped my ring after about 3 mobs. We were rolling pretty well and I didn't even have Screamin by us because we were doing so well. After a few more mobs we hit a spot where a beetle popped on us and the one mage got aggro and was having problems sleeping it so I brought Screamin over to save the day, no biggie. Well, this is where Karma is faaaaaaaaannntastic. I heal up the people to save them, lock hate pretty well onto Screamin and then BAM! my power goes out. Now it only went out for about 10 seconds so I'm sitting there thinking, ok, I can live with it just going out like that and just needing to restart my computer. 30 seconds into restarting my computer, BAM! power is out for good. At approximately 5:30PM on Sunday my power was out, and at 11:30PM on Sunday ... my power was STILL out. That's when I packed up a change of clothes and went to my parents' house.
Sadly there wasn't much I could do with just my character without a PL because it was so late and it would probably take me about 2 hours just to be lucky enough to GET a party. Instead I decided to just log on as Screamin and walk around CN for a bit and just chat with some friends that were online, namely Ara and ... drum roll please ..... ARCKK!!! Yes, Arckk is back again! I believe he has been following Ara in the quit and come back trend, rinse and repeat. I guess his Non-Profit Organization that he had a grant for finally ended because the company that was backing it got restructured so it was a pain to work with them and keep the grant alive. So now he's back to just work and school. Hopefully we'll be able to see more of him back on in the game again and hopefully see Disdain come back more, and then if I'm really lucky Hybrid will come back too since he seemingly lost interest in the game temporarily due to some personal stuff.
So here I am sitting with my own little posse of part time players. The ideas begin to spin around my head again .... Limbus, Nyzul Isle, Assault, ZNM, yadda yadda yadda. If only I could get these guys to play more like myself or even as much as Khrone does I would be exstatic because then we really could make a good little group. I mean I'd have a PLD, WHM, RDM, BRD, MNK, and a few of those can be very flexible on jobs. Ugh, but sadly I still have my goals of Maat's Cap. So much to do and not enough time to do it all in!
And going back to the the Ara/Arckk trend of quitting and coming back. Ara believes he has finally decided to call it quits. Hats off to ya chap for doing something that I just cannot do. Without being able to do any sports because of me needing to rest my knee I have nothing to keep me busy then besides spending oodles of money on PS3 and Wii games. I look at FFXI not only as a good time but a good investment. Yes I realize I've spent tons of money and time on this game, but look at how much fun I have at $13 a month. That's like 1 new video game every 5 months. With the time I would spend on that new video game I'm sure it wouldn't last me 5 months which is why I believe that FFXI is actually an investment into my "fun" time. I mean if I broke it down into how much I'm spending per hour I'm on the game ... I'm probably paying pennies per hour. (assuming 60 hours per month, which is an underestimate, and $13 a month, I am paying about $0.0036 an hour playing this game, so FRACTIONS of a cent per hour) Now don't get me wrong, I know Ara is going to read this, but I'm not trying to sway him of coming back again once his account is done. This is merely me stating why I play this game. I remember the 10 days I was without internet a few months ago ... I spent over $600 buying a Wii and a couple of games and spending time with that. Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii and I'm glad I have it, but when I'm missing my internet for 10 days and I go on a spending spree like that, its just not smart. Alright, enough explaining why I play this game. Hopefully when I get home tonight I will be able to log on and get some stuff done in game ... like finishing off my exp ring, AGAIN!
Weekly goal: MNK 44 by the time I help my gf move down to school this coming weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii and I'm glad I have it, but when I'm missing my internet for 10 days and I go on a spending spree like that, its just not smart. Alright, enough explaining why I play this game. Hopefully when I get home tonight I will be able to log on and get some stuff done in game ... like finishing off my exp ring, AGAIN!

Uneventful
So I think my gf is finally catching on that I tell her I'm tired at night so she would go home by like 11 or 11:30 so I can get online and play FFXI. She strated grilling me about why I was online so late last night and after a few minutes I finally just said "I was talking to friends online ... through my game." Whoops! :D Oh well, she didn't get as mad as I would've expected so its a win for me as far as I can see!
As for tonight and this weekend, I have no clue what my availability will be. Tonight I will probably be with my gf all night because she wants to go to dinner which means she will be with me from about 5:30PM til ... um ... whenever she decides to go home on Saturday I'm assuming. Which means tonight is shot. Hopefully I can get on and get some gaming in tomorrow and or Sunday. Saturday night will probably be shot too since it is the big OSU vs USC game which, of course, I will be with my gf (are you seeing a theme here?). I mean I can undestand this is her last week in town because she moves back to school next Friday, but I hope she still gives me a little breathing room.
Last night was a bust on gaming. I got online, started to put together a party then the tank decided to bail on me. I had a nice 2xbrd party getting set up and then he just sends me a tell saying "nm, got another party that is full with me." Gee thanks ASS for telling me that you would party with me!
After that fell through my gf wanted to go to a movie so I suggested The Dark Knight. Personally I thought it was a really good movie, but she HATED it. She obviously has no appreciation for the movies that make you think and guess and have the whacked out bad guys. Whatever, I liked it and I'm glad I went especially because I got to pick the movie for once.
Well, my goal of 45 has NO CHANCE of being done. So I guess I will just say maybe 42/43 by the end of the weekend... if I'm lucky.

Suck on my Level Sync
Ok, I'm REALLY not a fan of Level Sync. I'm still hoping that one day people will realize what Level Sync was actually meant for instead of trying to bring all your friends back to the dunes. I love exping as much as the next person, but I've leveled 17 jobs through the dunes ... count it ... 17 jobs! Valkurm has lost all its pizzaz for me, I'm sorry.
I also didn't really make any friends last night either. I was in a decent party with a few 75s ... in Valkurm. Yeah, STUPIDO!!!! But the exp wasn't bad, we were killing pretty fast and what not. So I meant to send a message to my "LS" which only had 1 other person on at the time, go HacTao, but instead I sent this to my party, "I really wish I would've come level sync with you :/" Needless to say the lively conversations that were going on in the party ceased and they were probably talking about me in their LS chat. Whatever, whoeve brings a couple 75s to Level Sync in the dunes is obviously a tard because it is TOTALLY WORTHLESS!!!!!! Me level syncing down from 40 was worthless. "Exp is exp" is what the guy told me, so I agreed, then I realized "Valkurm is still valkurm". Yeah, just bitter about the whole Level Sync thing now.
But on a brighter note my MNK is 41 ... yay...

Step 1 Goal Achieved!
Step 1 is now complete in my grand scheme of my glorious hat! I just have to be sure that I don't let up on my goals. I really need to keep myself focused on this because I see so much going on around me that I'm "missing out on" but I feel like I am actually getting something just as good done.
Like last night Sush was bugging me to join his Sky LS and that I have an open invitation whenever I want to join them. Which would really be great because they actually get stuff accomplished in Sky and do really well on the gods. They also go through a lot of pop sets and kill a lot of the gods weekly. Its just that it would really take away from my goals right now. I mean some of that gear would be AMAZING when I get to end game with some of these jobs, but I need to get the jobs there first. I think I will still hold off as long as I possibly can because I really want to get most of my jobs to 66 before thinking about end game again. After I get a bunch to 66 I can start working on getting gear for them end game while working on finishing off the last job or 2.
Last night was also my first experience with Level Sync, and to be honest I was a little underwhelmed. I synced up with my brother's SMN at 21 with my MNK at 38. First off, whenever the level sync person levels, EVERYONE loses TP. (No biggie) Second, my level 15 knuckles added more to my attack than my level 32 knuckles. (Kind of annoying when I realized that) Thirdly, when I hit 40 and threw on my Brown Belt ... my Purple Belt still added more STR than my Brown Belt and I essentrially ditched all the hast bonus on it which is what makes it good. I can understand them bringing down the strength of the uber end game gear but when there isn't really a big difference between some of the gear why cut off all the extras of it. Essentially you are saying "Hey! We're saving you inventory space by scaling back your higher level gear when you want to!" but they left out the fact that even gear that isn't that great at that level will still probably be better than the scaled down version of even the best higher level gear. Now I didn't do any full testing with say O Kote or Republic Subligar, but I'm assuming it is really cut apart too. And O Kote becomes that much worse because the EVA-5 still holds strong even at level 1. This probably makes the O Kote at level 20 about an ATT+5 and EVA-5 piece of gear (if you're lucky). Again, I'm not as amazed with this as I thought I would be.
Not to mention that when I was actually trying to find a party, there were like 7 parties in Qufim Island. This is going to really stress the lower level exp areas until people realize it is still better to join parties with people around your level. That way you can still keep the added effects of your level 39 Haste boots, or you level 34 O Kote, or your level 33 P Charm, or keep your elemental Ni wheel at 40. I think it will just have to sink in to people that dropping to level 15 isn't going to be the answer to trying to exp your way through the grind of the 60s. I mean you can get higher chains and more exp per hour at some of those higher camps anyways. Again, I think it'll just take some time for people to realize what Level Sync is actually good for and not go overboard with it.
Now that I am a full 10 days ahead of schedule I have to try and keep ahead of schedule and keep exping whenever I possibly can because I know later on down the road I AM going to fall behind for one reason or another. So in the spirit of keeping myself ahead of the game I will try to use these next 10 days to get myself from 40 to 50 on MNK. That way I can be 10 levels closer to finishing my next tier goal before I was even planning on starting it. I am really hoping that I am overestimating getting all 8 of jobs under 50 to 50. I had given myself 1 full month to get every Maat's job to 50 (Oct 19th), but if I can hit MNK to 50 before that month even starts that will be a huge gain for myself. If I can get MNK to 50 before the 19th I will have to do approximately 2.5 levels a day for a month to hit my goal which is REALLY easy. With having my weekends open now I could probably crank out a full 10 levels in 1 weekend let alone in 5 days. If I got really lucky I might even be able to get 2 jobs to 50 in 1 weekend (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday). I guess this second tier goal is all about OBLITTERATING the end date so I can get started that much sooner on the last tier goal of 66. It will also give me time to do all of my AF for all of my jobs ... which I am REALLY not looking forward to. I mean I will have THF at 50 by then so I could just take that out and have Screamin solo all the mobs so I'd have that TH2 to work with making life easier, but that is still a TON of coffer keys and quests to do. 30 coffer keys and 28 quests. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Granted that does include finishing my WAR AF which I don't plan on doing (so total that I will do is 27 coffers and 27 quests). Anyways, that will just have to be where I stand for now with AF and all that junk because I will probably take a full week or two to just complete it all.
As for current short term goals, I will be saying ... level 45 by the end of Saturday. If my gf doesn't stay over tonight or tomorrow night I should be able to make about 42 or 43 and should be able to finish off the last 2 or 3 levels on Friday after work or Saturday when I might hopefully possibly have a break from her in the afternoon. Now a lot will lay on parties because there is not much I can do as far as soloing since all solo camps at this level are elementals. Maybe at 44/45 I could run out to Cape Terrigan and see what kind of damage I can do there, but I will have to try that when I get there.

Exp-aholic
Hi, my name is Treubond, and I'm an exp-aholic. I can do a chain 6 solo on goblin pets with a PL. I can also go from 34 to 37 in a matter of 2 hours ... solo. I'm a beast. I can put my fists through spiders like its my job. I PWN! Thank you.
Yulp, 3 levels on MNK last night ... before 9:30PM!!! That's just amazing!!! The exp was flowing soooooooooooooo fast. I'm very excited to see how fast I can roll out to 40 or 50 now. I still could pull out another level or 2 on these pets which would take me to 39 or so and then it would be time to either Level Sync or head to Crawler's Nest. I can't believe how fast I was exping last night ... it was RECOCKULOUS!!! And yes, I did do a chain 6 solo last night, with a PL of course. OMG, and I just realized something else ...
ALL MAAT'S CAP SUB JOBS ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!! D - U - N DONE!!!!!!!

Whew, its gonna be a while before I come down from this high. I can feel this first tier goal coming to a close and me working my way to 50 on all my jobs now. This is very exciting! Can you feel it?!?!
Ok ok ok ok, now I need to start planning out where I need to level all of my jobs from 40 to 50 now. As far as solo spots, the only good ones I know of for at least the beginning of the 40s are elemental camps which just won't work for melee jobs. Its looking like I will have to party from 40 to about 44/45 then I could try to pull off the blm solo camp out in Cape Terrigan where the rabbits are. It was great exp on my BLM but was a giant pain in the butt with bunny linking. I will have Screamin who can still easily kill these so it wouldn't be much of a problem I suppose. Also, there is a nicer camp just NE of the OP which means I can avoid the plethora of rabbits right by the OP. That will have to be a bridge that I cross when I come to it though. I will be getting plenty of experience leveling jobs in the 40 to 50 range because I have 8 of them that need to get to 50.
PLD, SMN, and WHM I will be more than likely partying the whole way since they aren't really DDs. Well, SMN can be, but its not powerful enough yet because of lack of really strong BPs and good gear. PLD can be a good DD but I'd rather just tank because it is one of the harder jobs to find for a party so making it party is just a smart call I think.
MNK, SAM, DRG, DRK, and possibly THF could be soloable jobs to 50. They actually have good damage output possibilites, but again with THF, its better in a party set up because of SATA so I think I will just be using that in a party as well. Although, the more I think about it, I would probably prefer to just level all of them in parties because it can get boring solo. There will be levels where the exp is really slow so I definitely could move on to a solo camp, but I guess from here on out I will be trying to go party first, and then solo as a last resort.
So as to not continue too far off into the future I need to keep my head grounded and my eyes on the prize still. Short term goal for the week: MNK to 40 by Friday. This is DEFINITELY possible because of how fast I flew through my levels last night. Not to mention I am pretty sure my gf will be giving me a full night off from her tonight or Thursday because she is finally getting it that she is constantly down my throat. So I guess me dropping the hints of the problems in my oldest brother's relationship are finally getting through to her, haha.

Mama said knock you out
Hurray for the gf being in a bad mood! That gave me a chance to do some escort with Khrone and level my MNK more. :D
From 30-32 ... MNK just sucked. I wasn't really having fun because I wasn't accurate at all and my damage was just meh. Once I hit 33 and threw on my P Charm ... I completely whiffed a Combo. After that, I was rocking out though. My overall accuracy really jumped when I put on the P Charm and I can really see why this is considered one of the best overall neck pieces in the game. The accuracy helps more than I really thought it would. My accuracy went from somewhere around 30-40% to about 75%. This is such a huge jump for damage over time and help keeping chains alive in my usually crappy parties. The one thing I do have to say, I am soooo glad I started a party on Sunday because we did really well and I rarely used Screamineagle again. I really like the parties that are self sustaining because that means the people in the party are good players. We had MNK, DNC, RNG, SCH, RDM, and PLD. Pulling was a little sluggish but he kept waiting for the PLD to get some MP back which is cool and understandable. As for healing we were golden because the DNC/NIN had back up healing down and even off voking when the mob would occasionally move on to the RNG or a mage. I couldn't believe the RDM's damage on nuking too, he was doing as much as the BLM was at that level (around 90s w/o MB).
I'm pretty sure everyone in the party got 2 levels by the time we disbanded too. The DNC was a level higher than everyone else but was well worth having because of the extra tanking and the extra healing. In an EXP party DNC are a really good addition because they can heal, off tank, AND debuff, all while doing a little bit of damage. I think this was kind of the whole purpose of COR too but I think DNC does a much better job. Yes DNC doesn't have a refresh dance but when a DNC can just save the mages MP I think it is just as good.
It was also very reassuring hitting 34 and throwing on my O Kote because now I know for sure that I will be able to rock out in my desert paradise! Now I just hope Screamin's MP can keep up with my chains because I won't have to be stopping to rest for MP like on SMN, but on MNK I will be taking so much more damage and will be needing so much more healing. Guess I won't really know how it'll go until I go out there and start rockin on some Goblin pets.
As for tonight, NEW UPDATE!!! (I will now be taking a break from completing this post as to wait for the full update to be released in about an hour.)

And I'm back! As expected, the number one thing everyone is looking forward to is Level Sync. But for me I am more thinking about the exp boost for EPs and DCs. I think that will make much more of a difference because that may have more people trying to solo, such as I do, but not picking mobs that are EM, T, or VT to them but rather more around DC, EM, or T to them for a safer approach.
There is so much in this update but honestly, I don't feel that it is that big of an update outside of Level Sync. Some adjustments here and there with items and mobs but nothing earth shattering ... except Nyzul Isle. I think the updates to Nyzul Isle could really be a factor in people going to do that now because now everyone can save their data instead of just having 1 person do it. This is an event I've done a few times but now I'm really interested in because the gear in there is pretty nice and to top it all off ... ITS FREE! That in itself makes it very attractive gear. Just like the ZNM gear that is free but you have to do some background photo taking in order to get the Zeni.
A few other nice things have been implemented, like the drop in price of Limbus and dynamis or the storing of your KS and BC with an NPC. I think more of something that I would like to do now is more small group dynamis since the price has been cut in half and the drop rates have been increased which is FRIGGIN AWESOME!
Ok, so I lied, there is more really slick stuff in this update that I just didn't think of all at once but as I'm skimming over the update again I'm getting excited again. This all means that a low man end game shell is becoming more and more likely for me. I would love to get a regular group to do dynamises to just get AFv2 gear and then AF+1 from limbus. There would be soooo much good gear to be gotten by such few people! Man, I'm pumped for all of this extra stuff, but the big problem is that I'm still going for Maat's Cap. Argh, they keep throwing monkey wrenches into my bigger plans! I will definitely be keeping on my goal of the old man's cap by EOY because I think I could throw in a few smaller events like Nyzul Isle or assaults or a low man dynamis or a low man limbus. I just wouldn't be able to join regular groups because that would definitely slow me down. Back to level sync briefly before wrapping this up. I am looking forward to being able to level with my friends now because basically no matter what level we are we will be able to go pimp slap some mobs together and get some good exp! That means my brother won't feel as left behind even though I will be so far ahead. This also means I have to plan soloing better around partying. Right now I'm at a perfect level for my desert glory so level syncing with him would just kind of be a waste for me but a great gain for him. So I would probably go hit 37 on my MNK before level syncing down with him to help him get say his WHM out of the dunes(since that is his current thing he's doin). I just have to keep a wary eye on what I'm doing for levels because I could be gaining great exp duoing with someone at a certain level, I could be gaining great exp soloing at my leve, or I could even be gaining great exp at my own level just by partying. Many more factors have come into me exping my way to the old man's cap. All of which I will be doing I'm sure, just as long as I keep the exp rolling.
On another quick note and little goal for myself, I want to keep myself in the top 100 on the Hades server according to FFXIah.com. Lately I've been hovering just in the top 100 but now I'm at 97. I need to keep up with exping because the people around me in the ranking seem to all be doing some sort of leveling also. Most of them were finishing off jobs to 75 which means they will get big leaps over my even a few levels on low jobs. Its just something I try to do to keep me going though.

From 30-32 ... MNK just sucked. I wasn't really having fun because I wasn't accurate at all and my damage was just meh. Once I hit 33 and threw on my P Charm ... I completely whiffed a Combo. After that, I was rocking out though. My overall accuracy really jumped when I put on the P Charm and I can really see why this is considered one of the best overall neck pieces in the game. The accuracy helps more than I really thought it would. My accuracy went from somewhere around 30-40% to about 75%. This is such a huge jump for damage over time and help keeping chains alive in my usually crappy parties. The one thing I do have to say, I am soooo glad I started a party on Sunday because we did really well and I rarely used Screamineagle again. I really like the parties that are self sustaining because that means the people in the party are good players. We had MNK, DNC, RNG, SCH, RDM, and PLD. Pulling was a little sluggish but he kept waiting for the PLD to get some MP back which is cool and understandable. As for healing we were golden because the DNC/NIN had back up healing down and even off voking when the mob would occasionally move on to the RNG or a mage. I couldn't believe the RDM's damage on nuking too, he was doing as much as the BLM was at that level (around 90s w/o MB).
I'm pretty sure everyone in the party got 2 levels by the time we disbanded too. The DNC was a level higher than everyone else but was well worth having because of the extra tanking and the extra healing. In an EXP party DNC are a really good addition because they can heal, off tank, AND debuff, all while doing a little bit of damage. I think this was kind of the whole purpose of COR too but I think DNC does a much better job. Yes DNC doesn't have a refresh dance but when a DNC can just save the mages MP I think it is just as good.
It was also very reassuring hitting 34 and throwing on my O Kote because now I know for sure that I will be able to rock out in my desert paradise! Now I just hope Screamin's MP can keep up with my chains because I won't have to be stopping to rest for MP like on SMN, but on MNK I will be taking so much more damage and will be needing so much more healing. Guess I won't really know how it'll go until I go out there and start rockin on some Goblin pets.
As for tonight, NEW UPDATE!!! (I will now be taking a break from completing this post as to wait for the full update to be released in about an hour.)

And I'm back! As expected, the number one thing everyone is looking forward to is Level Sync. But for me I am more thinking about the exp boost for EPs and DCs. I think that will make much more of a difference because that may have more people trying to solo, such as I do, but not picking mobs that are EM, T, or VT to them but rather more around DC, EM, or T to them for a safer approach.
There is so much in this update but honestly, I don't feel that it is that big of an update outside of Level Sync. Some adjustments here and there with items and mobs but nothing earth shattering ... except Nyzul Isle. I think the updates to Nyzul Isle could really be a factor in people going to do that now because now everyone can save their data instead of just having 1 person do it. This is an event I've done a few times but now I'm really interested in because the gear in there is pretty nice and to top it all off ... ITS FREE! That in itself makes it very attractive gear. Just like the ZNM gear that is free but you have to do some background photo taking in order to get the Zeni.
A few other nice things have been implemented, like the drop in price of Limbus and dynamis or the storing of your KS and BC with an NPC. I think more of something that I would like to do now is more small group dynamis since the price has been cut in half and the drop rates have been increased which is FRIGGIN AWESOME!
Ok, so I lied, there is more really slick stuff in this update that I just didn't think of all at once but as I'm skimming over the update again I'm getting excited again. This all means that a low man end game shell is becoming more and more likely for me. I would love to get a regular group to do dynamises to just get AFv2 gear and then AF+1 from limbus. There would be soooo much good gear to be gotten by such few people! Man, I'm pumped for all of this extra stuff, but the big problem is that I'm still going for Maat's Cap. Argh, they keep throwing monkey wrenches into my bigger plans! I will definitely be keeping on my goal of the old man's cap by EOY because I think I could throw in a few smaller events like Nyzul Isle or assaults or a low man dynamis or a low man limbus. I just wouldn't be able to join regular groups because that would definitely slow me down. More of the same
Well I logged on, was pumped I got a party pretty quickly. Then they say, "Garlaige Citadel please." And that's about where my excitement ended. I still had hopes because the party was decently set up, at least job wise, with NIN, NIN, THF, MNK, SCH, and WHM. Sounds like a decent party right? Well it would be if the one NIN wasn't an idiot and knew how to tank or line up for SATA. This was also the same NIN that was wearing gear that was no higher than 21 at level 32. Now I know there is some nice gear at 21, but when none of it is HQ there is a problem. Another problem was that (s)he was using Blade: Teki... NEVER EVER USE BLAD: TEKI!!!! It is quite possibly the worst weapon skill in the game and has absolutely no bonuses that would be worth the crap damage that it does. Finally when our good NIN "d/c'd", I say it like that because I've done my fair share of fake d/cing and I know that's what he did (right after a kill), I decided to take things into my own hands. I started lining up for SATA using Screamin to grab hate and stand behind the NIN while the THF SATA'd me. Then I would usually follow up with a Combo to do a skill chain. That was about the point where our WHM and SCH realized that we were pretty money from then on and started nuking to the best of their abilities. The SCH had some nice nukes occasionally. I think I saw one of his nukes land for almost 100 a few times. In all for the party I only got a few thousand exp again and of course I still have my jack on and my exp ring was actually used this time. You know what that means ... I need to try to level right quick so I can maybe possibly hopefully try to start soloing out in the desert.
Outside of MNK, there is really nothing going on in game. I almost bought some Ancient Beastcoins last night because I saw them for 6k each when they normally go for about 8k. I should've grabbed them while I had the chance... oh well. At some point I will be getting myself back into Limbus to get some coins and then upgrade some more gear and maybe get a boxer's mantle or brutal earring, but I think unless I really join an end game LS I am going to rule out the musical earring.
Other than me thinking about more stuff I want to do in the game I am still just trying to get more and more jobs up to complete my 1st tier goal of all jobs to 37/40 by September 19th. After that I work my way to all jobs at at least 50 by beginning/mid October and then do all of my AFs for all of my jobs in 1 week. Now that's what I'm REALLY looking forward to! Doing AF quests are the bomb!!! /wrists... Eh, at least I can store them to save some room and get rid of the gear that doesn't really cross over. I think at that point I will kind of be excited to do all of my AFs though because it means I am that much closer to my final goal of being a big loser and getting "old man's"/Maat's Cap. Ahh, just the sound of me having Maat's Cap gives me the jitters because its so gosh darn exciting and will be the biggest project in the game that I've ever finished! After that I think I've already decided on working on Bonecraft to 100 as my new big project. But enough about things that I might be doing in like 4 months.
As for tonight and this weekend I'm not sure how much time I will have to game, again. Tonight my gf already has us planned on going out with one of her friends. Saturday I have a golf outting which will take up basically the entire day. Then Saturday night I will probably be doing something with my gf again. But Sunday is a hopeful day because I could have some time to myself since I have a ton of stuff that I still need to do around my house. My gf always yells at me to clean my room, but I don't think she gets that I don't have time to clean my room because she is the one taking up that time that I would spend cleaning my room and house. Oh, and just as a quick side note ... my power was out this morning, HURRAY. Which meant I was late to work. It better be back on when I get home tonight because I wanna get a lil gaming in (Choco race and maybe escort) while folding my laundry.

/slap Braidon
Last night I wanted to level my MNK a little bit, and that's exactly what I did ... leveled in A LITTLE BIT. This stupid BLM that put our party together kept trying to set up SCs with the RNG using his DAGGER!!! IS HE RETARDED!!! We had already figured out a way to make fusion with the PLD doing Red Lotus Blade to my Combo and then he could MB Firaga and do like 200 damage ... AWESOME. But that just wasn't good enough for him. He wanted Detonation because bats are weak to wind ... WHO CARES! Don't try take away our best DD because a stupid BLM feels weak when he doesn't MB.
This is not to mention that we had a party that started as 32-30 people me and a NIN being at the low end of 30 and the PLD and BLM being at the high end. Ok I can live with that, but when he said for us to go to Garbage Shitadel and me using as much ACC+ gear as I could and with using a Jack o Lantern I was still only landing punches about 30-40% of the time. There is nothing that I hate more in this game than MISSING. I was so about to just blow up at this stupid freaking BLM that just wanted to see his dmg output go up instead of our parties dmg output.
I'm glad I didn't even bother popping my ring because it would've been a total waste. We ended up only getting about 3,000 exp in a little over an hour WITH A FRIGGIN PL. That's just rediculous! Not to mention people are stupid and ran past beetles w/o invis up so I had to have Screamin kill those and then 2 people died throughout the night ... not during fights, just during down time because of stupidity. Like 2 fights after I leveled I just d/c'd myself and logged off on Screamin I was so furious.
The problem right now is I'm still too low of a level to go to my desert paradise. I need to be at least 33 I think to be able to do it so I could have my p charm then just pop a jack o lantern or something. Once I hit 33/34 I will be so money on my MNK because of P Charm and O Kote. Then once I get higher I should probably get myself a pair of the lvl 39 Kayahan boots for a TP build and then swap in my Windurstian Boots for the ATT+ on WS. Not to mention I still need to get some stupid Impact Knuckles for when I hit level 32. It's like a 90% drop rate from the O Kote NM but there have been 0 on the AH. I'm about to just go out there and ask someone camping if I can have a pair. lol
As for RL stuff I did really well in v-ball last night, got a good workout in on the Wii Fit, and then got invited to join another v-ball league for the winter which I can't because I need to rest my friggin knee!!! My knee is really pissing me off because after next week or the week after I become a vegetable to rest my knee. Hopefully it fully heals fast so I can get back to playing v-ball and then back to FFXI when my gf goes back to school.

Treubond attains level 40!
Well, I finally decided to take a screenshot of something... even if it was after the fact. But I convinced the party I was in last night to stick around for 1k more let me hit 40 on SMN, which they did! They were cool with it because I was PLing the party and the tank blew and I just would not have been able to keep up with cures on my SMN. Also, notice the nice little Diamond Dust I did to finish off the mob. hehe I guess Calec doesn't know how strong a SMN 2hr can be, because I could've done that 2 more times.
Lets see, other than SMN hitting 40 I just played some more Wii Fit last night. Apparently I already lost weight from the day before so I'm less "overweight" now. lol But I just need to keep going on it to open up more games and stuff to do with it. Some of the games are pretty slick and very challenging. I figure to spend about 20 minutes a day playing that so I don't cut too drastically into my FFXI time.
It was kind of a struggle last night to hit 40 on SMN because it was getting really late and I don't like staying up too too late anymore because it makes me so tired for work the next day and I'm really attempting being more productive at work. But I didn't hit 40 until about 1:45AM and didn't actually get to bed until about 2:15 or 2:30 because I went back to Bastok and then to Jeuno and geared up my MNK ... whoops. Surprisingly I haven't been too tired today which is pretty awesome because that means I won't have to take a nap after work and I can just game when I get home. :D
Now that I'm back to MNK I am really looking forward to my next tier of leveling to 50. MNK will be the first job now to 50 because I don't feel like hitting 40 then switching to another job and going to 50. I figure why not just go straight from 30 to 50 right? Right! While I was gearing up my MNK I realized that I had everything I needed to actually gear a MNK except a weapon which was pretty darn hot. So I bought a pair of Bastokan Knuckles because I didn't feel like splurging on a weapon that I would wear for 2 levels then use Impact Knuckles until about 38. It'll be glorious because MNK is actually a strong DD job so I'm thinking I can just go rock out in my desert paradise of solo exp and not really need to stop because I won't have to wait for MP. Level 33 and 34 will be the big 2 levels on my MNK because that's where I get P Charm and O Kote respectively. When I get those I should be rocking and rolling through Altepa and into Crawler's Nest to get Raging Fists. Ahhhhhh, such excitement!
As for tonight, I need to do some laundry, Wii Fit, and sort through some mail but after that I will be gaming up until I have to leave for Volleyball. I've already surpassed any goal I was going to set for myself this week because SMN is already 40. I suppose we can set a lower goal then since the week is already half over .... hmmm. Let's say MNK at 33 by the end of Saturday. I'm pretty sure I can hit that quite easily, but you never know what's gonna pop up and suck up all my time.

Great Weekend!
There was actually a lot that happened this weekend but most of it not in FFXI. I will do a little skipping around between the two just to let everyone know why it was a great weekend.
Friday:
Went to a work party and got way more wasted than I thought I was going to be. I only had about 4 drinks, but the amount of alcohol in them was probably equivalent to about 8 or 9 drinks ... whoops! There is more to Friday night that made it hilarious but I'm not gonna post that in this blog. O:-)
Saturday:
Woke up and got a little bit more of SMN done, I think to about 34/35. After that my girlfriend came over and we just hung out most of the day and started putting together who all was doing what for that night because it was my birthday. Went out with my gf, 2 friends from growing up, and a bunch of people that I've known from a group I've belonged to most of my life. There was much fun to be had even though we were bar hopping so much because it was the one other guy's 21st like a week prior so it was his first time going downtown. So they wanted to give him as much experience as we could around the bars.
Sunday:
Went to a festival downtown that was kind of a waste because there really wasn't much to do there. But on the bright side I did get an AMAZING gyro from the one stand and some guy on the way in gave us $10 worth of food/drink tickets. :D After that we went to my gf's sister's house for wine/champagne and a fire. It's pretty fun hanging out with them because someone always ends up doing SOMETHING stupid and then we ripp on them the rest of the night.
Monday:
Family had a dinner for me because it was my birthday weekend and my mom made some great food! Lasagna and steak was amazing, especially the lasagna because I've never tasted lasagna as good as hers. Then, this is friggin hilarious, my grandma made an Orange Cake that they were going to use as my birthday cake and it turns out my grandma got hungry a little before so she had already taken some before they put the candles in. I was about to pee my pants laughing because it was my grandma of all people that had stolen the piece ... even though she did make it. At that point I was a lil miffed because I was hoping my mom or grandma would've made me Ice Box Cake but they had a big problem finding the waffers to make it, so I would've expected at least an Ice Cream Cake from DQ. So I blew out the candles and then my mom brings out the Ice Box Cake and I was oh so happy. :D Earlier I had also checked my presents and a few closets in the house to see if they had gotten me what I actually wanted, a Wii Fit. None of the gifts were heavy or big enough to be it and my mom had told me previously that she didn't get a chance to look for it. Well she is sneaky because she had actually hid it in my old bedroom's closet upstairs which I hadn't checked. So I made off with Ice Box Cake AND a Wii Fit. That right there totally made my weekend ... BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. After that I went to my gf's brother-in-law's parent's house and hung out and played a little ping pong. Then my gf decided to just go home and leave me be for the night. Right about there I was peeing my pants with excitement because that meant I would be left alone with my Wii Fit and FFXI!!!
When I got home I immediately set up my Wii Fit and got to find out that I am supposedly about 25 pounds overweight and unbalanced. Ok, I know I'm heavier than I should be, but only by about 10-15 pounds because of my body style. The only problem I have with the Wii Fit right off the bat is that it doesn't take into account if you are naturally bigger or thinner. But I know where I should be so I will be setting my Wii Fit goals around that. I would like to lose about 15 pounds in about 3 months. So after I set up my goal in the game I started by doing some balancing games because it said my balance kinda stunk. There were some fun balancing games which for the most part I did well at but the skii slalom game I just couldn't completely get the hang of. I opened up "Advanced" on two of the balance games on the first try and spent enough time doing it that I had opened up a 5th balance game and a new yoga position. Surprisingly, by the time I finished about 15 minutes on the Wii Fit my legs were actually burning a little bit which is awesome because I was having a lot of fun and getting a work out from it too!
Right when I finished trying all the Balance Games that were open to me Hybridkiller asked me if I wanted to go duo with his 36WHM on my 35SMN. I was happy to join and we rocked out some good exp until he hit 37 and got his buffer. Then he came back out on his RNG and WOW, just WOW. His RNG was rocking! He was dominating these mobs about as fast as I could pull out my avatar and use a blood pact. Once I hit 37 and he was about 3/4s of the way through 34 he decided to hit the sack for the night. Since it was still only about 11:30 when he went to bed I decided to still go for 38 on SMN solo. Well, I hit 38 on SMN and discovered I can't do 38-40 on SMN solo I don't think. It would be sooooooo time consuming because I have to rest for MP between every fight. SMN is definitely a party friendly job like WHM, RDM, or BRD because we aren't huge DDs and we are more support central. At least early on SMN is more support centered because I don't have any uber blood pacts that can 1 shot pets which really kind of slows me down because that means I need 2 BPs to kill a mob so at least 1 min per mob which can kill my chains. With BLM you can 1 or 2 shot mobs and the 2nd would be a lower tier spell to just finish it off.
So I still need to finish off SMN to 40 before I move back to MNK. I only need 2 more levels on SMN before I get a massive MP boost from my rings that I will be getting, Ether and Mana, which will add a nice 45 MP and then my 4th MP merit kicks in too. Man, this is exciting! Not only do I have another SJ done but I only have 1 more Maat's Cap job below 37!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And now I've officially spent way too much time browsing about FFXI stuff today. I've just been staring at LSs and gear that people have and looking around on ffxiah.com. Ok, need to get back to work now. lol
Tonight I doubt I will really be on at all, or at least until my gf leaves tonight. She's planning on coming over to play some Wii Fit. Besides that I have a bunch of stuff to run around and do: resize new watch, get prescription, drop something at my grandma's house, and something else that I seem to have forgotten about now... Oh well.

Friday:
Went to a work party and got way more wasted than I thought I was going to be. I only had about 4 drinks, but the amount of alcohol in them was probably equivalent to about 8 or 9 drinks ... whoops! There is more to Friday night that made it hilarious but I'm not gonna post that in this blog. O:-)
Saturday:
Woke up and got a little bit more of SMN done, I think to about 34/35. After that my girlfriend came over and we just hung out most of the day and started putting together who all was doing what for that night because it was my birthday. Went out with my gf, 2 friends from growing up, and a bunch of people that I've known from a group I've belonged to most of my life. There was much fun to be had even though we were bar hopping so much because it was the one other guy's 21st like a week prior so it was his first time going downtown. So they wanted to give him as much experience as we could around the bars.
Sunday:
Went to a festival downtown that was kind of a waste because there really wasn't much to do there. But on the bright side I did get an AMAZING gyro from the one stand and some guy on the way in gave us $10 worth of food/drink tickets. :D After that we went to my gf's sister's house for wine/champagne and a fire. It's pretty fun hanging out with them because someone always ends up doing SOMETHING stupid and then we ripp on them the rest of the night.
Monday:
Family had a dinner for me because it was my birthday weekend and my mom made some great food! Lasagna and steak was amazing, especially the lasagna because I've never tasted lasagna as good as hers. Then, this is friggin hilarious, my grandma made an Orange Cake that they were going to use as my birthday cake and it turns out my grandma got hungry a little before so she had already taken some before they put the candles in. I was about to pee my pants laughing because it was my grandma of all people that had stolen the piece ... even though she did make it. At that point I was a lil miffed because I was hoping my mom or grandma would've made me Ice Box Cake but they had a big problem finding the waffers to make it, so I would've expected at least an Ice Cream Cake from DQ. So I blew out the candles and then my mom brings out the Ice Box Cake and I was oh so happy. :D Earlier I had also checked my presents and a few closets in the house to see if they had gotten me what I actually wanted, a Wii Fit. None of the gifts were heavy or big enough to be it and my mom had told me previously that she didn't get a chance to look for it. Well she is sneaky because she had actually hid it in my old bedroom's closet upstairs which I hadn't checked. So I made off with Ice Box Cake AND a Wii Fit. That right there totally made my weekend ... BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. After that I went to my gf's brother-in-law's parent's house and hung out and played a little ping pong. Then my gf decided to just go home and leave me be for the night. Right about there I was peeing my pants with excitement because that meant I would be left alone with my Wii Fit and FFXI!!!
When I got home I immediately set up my Wii Fit and got to find out that I am supposedly about 25 pounds overweight and unbalanced. Ok, I know I'm heavier than I should be, but only by about 10-15 pounds because of my body style. The only problem I have with the Wii Fit right off the bat is that it doesn't take into account if you are naturally bigger or thinner. But I know where I should be so I will be setting my Wii Fit goals around that. I would like to lose about 15 pounds in about 3 months. So after I set up my goal in the game I started by doing some balancing games because it said my balance kinda stunk. There were some fun balancing games which for the most part I did well at but the skii slalom game I just couldn't completely get the hang of. I opened up "Advanced" on two of the balance games on the first try and spent enough time doing it that I had opened up a 5th balance game and a new yoga position. Surprisingly, by the time I finished about 15 minutes on the Wii Fit my legs were actually burning a little bit which is awesome because I was having a lot of fun and getting a work out from it too!
Right when I finished trying all the Balance Games that were open to me Hybridkiller asked me if I wanted to go duo with his 36WHM on my 35SMN. I was happy to join and we rocked out some good exp until he hit 37 and got his buffer. Then he came back out on his RNG and WOW, just WOW. His RNG was rocking! He was dominating these mobs about as fast as I could pull out my avatar and use a blood pact. Once I hit 37 and he was about 3/4s of the way through 34 he decided to hit the sack for the night. Since it was still only about 11:30 when he went to bed I decided to still go for 38 on SMN solo. Well, I hit 38 on SMN and discovered I can't do 38-40 on SMN solo I don't think. It would be sooooooo time consuming because I have to rest for MP between every fight. SMN is definitely a party friendly job like WHM, RDM, or BRD because we aren't huge DDs and we are more support central. At least early on SMN is more support centered because I don't have any uber blood pacts that can 1 shot pets which really kind of slows me down because that means I need 2 BPs to kill a mob so at least 1 min per mob which can kill my chains. With BLM you can 1 or 2 shot mobs and the 2nd would be a lower tier spell to just finish it off.
So I still need to finish off SMN to 40 before I move back to MNK. I only need 2 more levels on SMN before I get a massive MP boost from my rings that I will be getting, Ether and Mana, which will add a nice 45 MP and then my 4th MP merit kicks in too. Man, this is exciting! Not only do I have another SJ done but I only have 1 more Maat's Cap job below 37!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And now I've officially spent way too much time browsing about FFXI stuff today. I've just been staring at LSs and gear that people have and looking around on ffxiah.com. Ok, need to get back to work now. lol
